Landscape-Mode is simply just a different remote style option that is simple to change. By default, the Firemote card will choose the remote style that came with your device, but you don't have to use that one on your Home Assistant Firemote card..

The remote style can be changed through the Visual Editor or through the Code Editor (YAML):

Visual Editor

From inside the Visual Editor, simply find the Remote Style dropdown menu, and choose a different style of remote.

The remote style pictured above is the App Launcher 2 option.

The YAML entry that you need to add or change is defaultRemoteStyle_override. A current list of the options can be found in the README.md file under the YAML Card Setup Options section.

In this case, the one you would want to choose is AL2 which would change the YAML example above to this:

Still a work in progress, but the Firemote looks great sitting next to the on-screen TV. I have lots of real estate to play with, so I have lots of plans. 😁

(I'm actually using .onn and Chromecast w/GoogleTV boxes, but found the fire remote more useful.)

Nice one! I've just started using Firemote may I ask as I see you added Kayo (amongst others) - where is the Kayo logo (or any other) stored for these please (I know its probably in readme / docs) I did read by may have missed.

All of the app logos are SVGs, and they are stored in the file named launcher-buttons.js

Working on integrating with my Harmony hub, and shield. Using Conditional cards when the Shield is selected you see this.

Then when watching TV you see this.

Still a work in progress. Main use is on a tablet.

curious how you are controlling the comcast box?

I control it though my Logitech Harmony Hub. Just using the card to control the hub.
As the Harmony Hubs are discontinued it will be a sad day for me if it dies.
I am testing a Broadlink RM4 Pro, to see if I can replace the hub with that. Since the card is super customizable already it should work that as well.

Love this idea - just getting started with this (Firemote) and that is exactly what I had in mind when I saw what Firemote may be capable of. Ive got three Harmony Hubs and three Harmony Elite remotes, integrated into Google Home (with all its limitations) and progressively figuring out how HA may serve this better or in parallel. Do let us know how you are getting on

Hi guys, I'm still a beginner with HA and Firemote, I have to say that up front. So there is certainly still potential in the design, but I am very satisfied with the function.
I use this card to control my Enigma2 box, a VU+ Duo2. There are scripts for all buttons that execute the desired command. In most scripts, the OpenWebif of the box is addressed via shell commands (hopefully correctly expressed), so HA sends the same commands that you send when using the remote control in the OpenWebif, I call them IP commands. Only the volume of the soundbox is controlled via the Harmony integration.
I find the response times surprisingly good, I don't notice much difference to my IR remote control. And I really like the short vibration when I press a button on my mobile phone.

I also use Firemote once as normal to control a FireTV Stick 4K Max. This also works without any problems.
I would have liked it better if I had all the buttons on the AFJTV-Style remote control, but apparently a maximum of 6 custom launchers are accepted. So I put a second and third card next to it (AL1 style).

Hi everyone!

This is my contribution.
I made this remote for my smartphone. To make it cleaner I tried to scale it so I don't have to scroll.

Since I don't use the app start buttons that often I put them on a separate card (app launcher 1).
On the first card (app launcher 2) I have all the controller buttons.

Both cards framed is a swipe card so I only have one card that I can swipe to access the app start buttons.
