AI coding assistants are getting a lot smarter — but planning still matters! Microsoft just introduced the new Plan Agent in Microsoft Visual Studio, focused on helping developers design implementation plans before generating code changes. Instead of instantly modifying files, the agent: • analyzes your codebase • asks clarifying questions • creates structured implementation plans • stores them as markdown files for review and collaboration This is especially valuable for larger refactors, architecture changes, authentication flows, and multi-project tasks where jumping straight into AI-generated code can become messy fast. Feels like a big step toward more structured AI-assisted software engineering inside Visual Studio. 🖊Rachel Kang 🌐Read more: https://lnkd.in/daVwRakv ✨️Follow https://dotnet.news for more updates #dotnet #visualstudio
