1When I disable my internet and start the game, it still picks up my Steam name there, even with it failing to connect to bethesda.net. But I am wondering if that is because I previously have played the game with internet connection and successful connection to bethesda.netTimmy Jim– Timmy Jim ♦2021-12-03 18:13:38 +00:00Commented Dec 3, 2021 at 18:13

@TimmyJim Maybe I should be working on trying to figure out why it won't connect to bethesda.net I see that I already have an account there, and it's linked to steam, so the connection must have worked for some other game.Organic Marble– Organic Marble2021-12-03 18:37:15 +00:00Commented Dec 3, 2021 at 18:37

Perhaps relink your Steam account to bethesda.net if possible. Maybe a previous password change or something invalidated your credentials.Timmy Jim– Timmy Jim ♦2021-12-03 18:55:02 +00:00Commented Dec 3, 2021 at 18:55

1@TimmyJim good suggestion - but it looks like the other bethesda.net game is Doom 2016 which works fine, and I don't want to mess that up in favor of Quake! Steam community forums show lots of problems with Quake/bethesda.netOrganic Marble– Organic Marble2021-12-03 18:57:46 +00:00Commented Dec 3, 2021 at 18:57

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. minecraft-java-edition), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
