AI is now the top data security risk. According to the Thales 2026 Data Threat Report: • 61% rank AI as their #1 data security concern • 47% of sensitive cloud data is still unencrypted • Nearly 60% report deepfake-related attacks As AI gains autonomous access to enterprise systems, identity and data protection become critical. The question isn’t how fast we deploy AI. It’s whether our security is keeping pace. http://thls.co/kpOU50YmQ0b #Thales #Cybersecurity #AI #DataProtection #CloudSecurity Thales Cybersecurity Products

Every day, remarkable women at Thales break new ground. For the third feature in our #WomenInspiringWomen series, we’re proud to share the journey of Anthea Evelina Comellini, R&D engineer at Thales Alenia Space, specialised in satellite guidance, navigation and control. Anthea draws inspiration from Italian engineer Amalia Ercoli-Finzi, a pioneer in space engineering, first female aeronautical engineering graduate at the Polytechnic University of Milan and now Honorary Professor. Amalia served as a scientific advisor for NASA and both the Italian and European space agencies, and her work has contributed to key space research fields, such as mission design, attitude control and docking manoeuvres. And you, what are your sources of inspiration? 🤝 Cooperate, yes. Give up sovereignty, no. It is precisely this balance that we must strive to achieve today. AI is gradually establishing itself as a key lever for operational superiority in defence. But one reality remains: ● Effective AI requires relevant, recent and varied data. ● This data is, by nature, sovereign and sensitive. This raises a key strategic question: how can we cooperate to train effective AI models without ever surrendering state sovereignty? Contrary to certain preconceptions, AI sovereignty does not concern only the machine itself, but rather the control that actors have over their data, their models and their technological dependencies. 💡 The position paper ‘Reconciling AI sovereignty and exportability’ provides concrete answers: ● transfer or collaborative learning without sharing raw data, ● desensitisation, anonymisation, cryptographic guarantees, ● traceability, watermarking, unlearning, ● sovereign AIOps tool chains, capable of operating even in constrained or disconnected environments. In a world where AI performance will depend on the diversity of environments and data, nations capable of cooperating with confidence will be more robust. ➡️ Read the insight and position paper http://thls.co/BIsw50YhZT6 #TrustworthyAI #TrustedAI #AI #Sovereignty #cortAIx Fabien Flacher Boussad Addad, Ph.D ✒ Rémi Blanchette Katarzyna Kapusta-Dedieu Juliette Mattioli Gabriel Rangoni

As our Women Inspiring Women# series continues, we’re excited to introduce another outstanding figure at Thales. Today, meet Maddison Illsley, Change Manager working on our site in Crawley. Maddison finds inspiration in the life and work of pioneering aeronautical engineer Beatrice Shilling. In the 1930s, Beatrice Shilling joined the Royal Aircraft Establishment, where she developed a device – the RAE restrictor – that prevented flooding of the carburettor in the Rolls Royce engines of the RAF’s Hurricane and Spitfire fighters. Her innovative work played a key role in ensuring Allied victory in the Battle of Britain during the Second World War. And you, what are your sources of inspiration? Stay tuned to discover more stories and inspirations from our #WomenInspiringWomen series. #IWD2026 #InternationalWomensDay2026 #WomenInSTEM #WomenInScience

Across generations, women have shaped and driven progress in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, building a legacy that inspires new breakthroughs every day. On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, let’s celebrate the pioneers who inspire the scientists of tomorrow. From now until March 8, discover, through our #WomenInspiringWomen series, the stories and inspirations of women who innovate every day across all of Thales’ markets. Among them is Juliette Mattioli, Senior AI Expert in AI at Thales. She finds inspiration in the remarkable journey of Sophie Germain, a pioneering mathematician during the French Revolution. In order to study and publish her work, Sophie Germain had to assume a male identity to attend the École Polytechnique - a bold move that enabled her to revolutionise the study of elasticity, paving the way for major advancements such as the construction of the Eiffel Tower. And you, what are your sources of inspiration? #February11 #IWD2026 #InternationalWomensDay2026 #WomenInSTEM #WomenInScience
