Canada is relying on the S2087 towed sonar for its future River-class destroyers. 🌊 As part of the programme led by Lockheed Martin Canada, Thales will supply this anti-submarine warfare system, designed to detect and track particularly stealthy submarines, even in complex maritime environments. Already in use with several allied navies, the S2087, a member of the sonars CAPTAS family, will enhance the Royal Canadian Navy’s anti-submarine warfare capabilities, both near the coast and on the high seas. Drones are playing an increasingly important role in urban airspace, bringing new coordination and safety challenges. Thales has been selected by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), alongside Deeeplabs to deploy a new drone traffic management platform based on TopSky - AstraUTM. The solution will support the safe integration of drones into Singapore’s airspace through a single platform combining registration, authorization, and real-time operational monitoring. This project brings together Thales’ aviation expertise and Deeeplabs’ local digital capabilities to support the development of Singapore’s drone ecosystem. 🇬🇷 Strengthening naval readiness and operational excellence  Thales will support the modernization of the Hellenic Navy’s Hydra-class frigates, following the signature of a contract with the Greek General Directorate for Defence Investments and Armaments (GDDIA).  This Mid-Life Upgrade programme will significantly enhance mission effectiveness through the integration of proven, including the TACTICOS Combat Management System, NS100 radar, and STIR fire control sensors. These advanced capabilities will deliver superior situational awareness, precision engagement, and decision support, ensuring the fleet remains ready to meet today’s and tomorrow’s operational challenges.  A key pillar of this programme is close collaboration with Greek industry. Building on a longstanding relationship with the Hellenic Armed Forces, across land, sea, and air, Thales will carry out modernization, support, and services locally. Delivering capabilities that matter. On May 18th, Thales officially delivered the first two GM403 long-range air surveillance radars to the Indonesian Air Force during a ceremony in Jakarta, marking an important milestone in Indonesia’s defence modernisation journey. The ceremony was attended by Indonesian President H.E. Prabowo Subianto, Minister of Defence General Hon. Ret. Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force Air Chief Marshal Mohamad Tony Harjono, highlighting the strategic importance of this programme. Developed in partnership with PT Len Industri (Persero) (Official) and built on nearly five decades of cooperation with the Indonesian Armed Forces, this programme combines trusted technologies with local knowledge transfer and long-term support capabilities. Thales announces the appointment of Jérémie Papin as SEVP Finance and Information Systems, effective July 1st, 2026. He will succeed Pascal Bouchiat, who will retire after 14 years with the Group, during which he has been a key player in the economic and financial performance of the Group. Jérémie Papin will join Thales as a member of the Executive Committee, reporting to Patrice Caine, Chairman and CEO. 🌏 What a day in Jakarta! On May 5th, Thales Indonesia was proud to take part in the EU-Indonesia Tech Event “Scaling up European investments in Indonesia's digital economy”, gathering over 350 participants from across the digital ecosystem. Thank you to Digital 4 Development (D4D) Hub, the European Commission, Expertise France, the Indonesian Ministry for Investment Cooperation and the Indonesian Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs for hosting such a great event.    It was a unique opportunity to engage in insightful discussions during a panel dedicated to “Securing critical digital infrastructures for a resilient digital economy”, covering key topics such as 5G, subsea cables, data centers, satellites and cybersecurity.    At Thales, we believe we are a partner of choice to support digital transformation.
