[Group] The #BlueBird consortium successfully held its fifth physical PMB meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark. Inetum was represented by Eduardo Vendrell del Río, PMP, Adrián Carrasco Revilla, Javier García de Dios and Kevin Herrera. The meeting took place at DTU's campus in Lyngby and in a historic venue in the heart of Copenhagen, where we reviewed the latest project progress and aligned on the next key steps toward deploying our flexibility innovations across the seven pilot sites. A key highlight was the contribution of DTU, which is advancing building control strategies through: 🔹 Model Predictive Control (MPC) and Digital Twin frameworks for zone-level temperature management 🔹 Distributed control architectures to manage the growing complexity of building energy systems 🔹 The design of the Flexibility Manager (FM) and a modular Digital Twin (DT) framework enabling Economic MPC (EMPC) 🔹 The UBFlex interface, connecting buildings with energy markets 🔹 Optimization algorithms (Trading Manager) to aggregate building flexibility for grid services The BlueBird Project aims to boost energy efficiency and user engagement in buildings by integrating them into energy carrier networks and empowering both end-users and building managers. Through innovative business models and trading tools, the project balances comfort, reduces costs, and enhances sustainability, while exploring how control, predictability, and personalization impact energy savings.
