Communicating science is rewarding, but it can also feel intimidating and quietly overwhelming. Whether you're a student presenting in class, a researcher at conferences or engaging with the public, self-doubt, comparison and pressure often come along for the ride. "Work in Progress" and "Mastering Science Communication" projects present to you the Therapeutic Arts "Back to Myself" Workshop, designed to help you find your footing again. Through guided, art-based exercises and shared reflection, the workshop will explore how to build inner confidence, navigate imposter feelings and shift from comparison towards connection and self-trust. No artistic experience needed. Open to all levels. Come as you are. 🗓 30 May 2025 · 14:30 UTC Register here: https://lnkd.in/dSduA3GE

Had a wonderful time at the BFH European Meet-Up ! It was a great opportunity to meet fellow iGEM Community Ambassadors, iGEM staff, and many inspiring teams from across Europe. Glad to meet Martha Carolina Elizondo Cantú, Xavier Alexandro Rios Salinas, Radu Ticiu, Florian Hänsel, Rasmus Böhme, Lasse Middendorf and Wenyu Liao in person! I was also especially happy to connect with teams such as ETH Zürich iGEM and iGEM Munich, and to exchange ideas on projects, regional collaboration, and the broader iGEM community. For me, this was not only a meeting, but also a reminder what makes iGEM so special: passionate students, open conversations, and a shared belief that synthetic biology can create meaningful impact. 💚💚 Thank you to the organizers Liliana Sanfilippo, Olivia Mozolewska and all other iGEMers from BFH for hosting this amazing event. Thank you to everyone I met at BFH for the meaningful conversations and warm atmosphere. Looking forward to staying connected and seeing how these ideas continue to grow throughout the iGEM season! #iGEM #SyntheticBiology #iGEMCommunity #BFH #ScienceCommunication #SynBio

iGEM is launching iGEM Innovation! iGEM Innovation is the next evolution of iGEM Startups, bringing together iGEM’s innovation-focused initiatives into one integrated program. Over the past several years, iGEM has supported entrepreneurial pathways through the iGEM Startups Program, helping iGEMers explore how synthetic biology ideas move beyond the lab and into the real world. As the ecosystem has evolved, so has the way iGEMers engage with innovation, not only as founders, but as researchers, investors, operators, and industry leaders shaping the broader bioeconomy. iGEM Innovation builds on this work and expands it into a broader system of support for bioinnovators across the full innovation cycle.
