𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐱 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. At least not on its own. A lot of the discussion about the future of mobility focuses on autonomous vehicles.  And yes — 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞. But autonomy alone will not solve one of the biggest structural challenges in transportation: 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲. If the system vehicles operate in is inefficient, making vehicles autonomous will only improve things at the margins. The real breakthroughs often happen one layer deeper in the system. Take #rail, for example. Traditional railway networks operate using fixed blocks. To prevent collisions, only one train is allowed in a block at a time. Even if a train has already moved far ahead within that block, the next train still has to wait. The result: 𝐮𝐧𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠. 💡𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜. Instead of fixed sections of track, the system calculates dynamic safe distances between trains in real time.  The “block” moves with the train. This allows trains to run closer together safely, increasing both capacity and efficiency of the network. 💡𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 — 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬. Within the framework of the Europe's Rail Joint Undertaking Expleo Group is contributing to ensuring the quality and reliability of these systems. Because the future of transportation will not be defined by a single breakthrough. It will be defined by many enabling technologies working together. At Expleo, we’re proud to celebrate the talented women across our teams whose ideas, support, and leadership help create a stronger and more inclusive workplace. ✨ Tia McGrath, Business & Project Analyst Lead at Expleo, recently shared her thoughts on what International Women’s Day represents and why the theme 'Give to Gain' resonates with her: “For me, International Women’s Day is a chance to celebrate women’s achievements and recognise just how far we’ve come since the first IWD in 1911, while still cheering each other on for everything that’s still ahead. This year’s theme, ‘Give to Gain,’ really highlights the power of lifting up the people around us and making space for voices that aren’t always heard so we can create a better environment for everyone. I’ll be taking time around IWD to reflect on the amazing women who’ve shown me respect, kindness, and support throughout my journey - and I’ll be doing my best to pay that forward.” Learn more about the supportive culture at Expleo 👉 https://expleo.to/4rStwse

At Expleo, we’re proud to work alongside talented women who bring insight, curiosity, and impact to everything they do.✨ Marilyn Scott, Senior Business Analyst at Expleo, recently shared a reflection that captures how progress grows when what we learn, share, and build together creates opportunities for others - a powerful reminder of the idea of giving to gain: “I gain by continuously learning, experimenting, and applying technology with intent, turning complexity into clarity and innovation into sustainable value. I give by designing solutions that ensure, sharing hard-won insight, and enabling others to build confidently and responsibly. Progress is sustained when what we gain fuels innovation that benefits systems, people, and the future.” When knowledge is shared and people support one another, innovation becomes stronger and more sustainable. 🔐 Securing the Future: Expleo Group Accelerates Post‑Quantum Innovation Across Mobility & Autonomous Systems Quantum computing is reshaping the threat landscape faster than expected — and organisations building connected, autonomous or safety‑critical systems must now integrate post‑quantum security by design. At Expleo, our R&D teams are pioneering next‑generation security architectures that help our clients anticipate quantum‑enabled attacks and embed PQC resilience directly into their products, platforms and infrastructures. Today, we are proud to share two flagship innovations illustrating this capability: 🚗 1. IoV‑AP: A Post‑Quantum, Blockchain‑Based Authentication Protocol for V2X Security Designed for the Internet of Vehicles, IoV‑AP combines: • Post‑quantum cryptography, • Blockchain‑based decentralized identity, • Zero‑Knowledge Proofs, • Homomorphic encryption, …to deliver privacy‑preserving, quantum‑safe authentication between vehicles and infrastructure (V2X). This enables OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers and mobility platform providers to integrate: ✔ quantum‑resilient identity management ✔ cryptographically verifiable vehicle trust ✔ protection against long‑term data compromise ✔ secure, scalable V2X communication architectures 🚁 2. SUAVCom: A Post‑Quantum, PUF‑Based Mutual Authentication Framework for UAV Networks Targeting collaborative UAV and drone‑swarm operations, SUAVCom introduces: • PUF‑based unclonable hardware identities, • Lightweight lattice‑based cryptography, • Secure MAVLink integration, • Mutual authentication resistant to quantum attacks. The result: a high‑performance, post‑quantum secure protocol that shields UAV fleets from spoofing, infiltration, command manipulation and advanced persistent threats — even in constrained or adversarial environments. 💡 What this means for our clients These two innovations demonstrate Expleo’s ability to: 🔹 Lead complex PQC‑driven engineering programs 🔹 Integrate post‑quantum cryptography into real‑world products (vehicles, drones, edge systems, embedded devices) 🔹 Support security‑by‑design for V2X, UAV, IoT, OT, and safety‑critical infrastructures 🔹 Accelerate compliance with emerging standards (NIST PQC, CNSA 2.0, ANSSI hybrid profiles, EU regulations) 🔹 Build future‑proof systems resilient to the coming quantum era Because transitioning to PQC is not just a crypto upgrade — it is a long‑term architectural transformation, spanning products, firmware, cloud services, and mission‑critical communication. At Expleo Group, we are committed to helping our partners secure the technologies that will move, connect and protect tomorrow’s world. #PostQuantum #CyberSecurity #PQC #QuantumSecurity #Cryptography #ZeroKnowledgeProofs #HomomorphicEncryption #PUF #V2X #IoV #UAVSecurity #DroneSecurity #MAVLink #BlockchainSecurity #QuantumResilience #SecureByDesign #Expleo #RAndD #Innovation #CyberEngineering #FutureMobility #AdvancedThreatProtection #QuantumTransition
