AI, security, and a packed week in San Francisco. RSAC, you delivered. At RSAC 2026, Elastic Security shared updates on how AI is shaping modern security operations from detection to response. We introduced Elastic Workflows for native automation directly in Elastic Security, removing the “SOAR automation tax.” We also eliminated per-endpoint pricing in Elastic Security XDR, giving teams full visibility and protection without the “endpoint tax.” Across the week, it was clear teams are exploring ways to combine AI reasoning with automated workflows to make detection and response more efficient. Huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, joined our session, and spent time with us this week in San Francisco. RSAC 2026, that’s a wrap. 👋

At KubeCon Amsterdam 2026, it was clear that teams aren’t struggling to collect data. They’re struggling to make sense of it. Too many pipelines, too many handoffs, and when something breaks, it’s still hard to see what’s actually going on. At Elastic, we showed what it looks like when that complexity starts to collaps, OpenTelemetry that simplifies ingestion and unifies signals, paired with agentic AI that helps you dig into issues instead of just surfacing them. A lot of the developers there are already starting to rethink how they approach observability in Kubernetes environments. Really good conversations all week.

Our Chief Product officer, Ken Exner, recently joined Bernard Leong on the Analyse Podcast to discuss Elastic's evolution and journey from the world's most popular open-source search engine into the context layer powering modern AI applications and agent systems. In this episode, Ken breaks down: •Search evolution: Why being a vector search pioneer since 2017 prepared Elastic for the GenAI wave •Agent builder & workflows: how to orchestrate AI agents grounded in secure enterprise data •The future of software development: why context engineering is the skill for engineering teams where developers will become managers of agents Check out the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/gRPBRSVe

The most important promotion of your career just happened... and you didn't even apply for it. Ken Exner (CPO at Elastic) just redefined the developer career path in under 60 seconds during his conversation with our founder, Bernard Leong in the upcoming episode of Analyse Podcast. He argues that the future of software development isn't about being an Individual Contributor (IC). It’s about becoming a Manager of Agents. Think about that. Your "team" isn't just the person in the next cubicle—it’s a suite of autonomous agents. Your new "coding" language? Context Engineering. The New Dev Workflow: 1️⃣ Context: Passing the right data/environment to the LLM. 2️⃣ Intent: Setting clear, high-level goals. 3️⃣ Audit: Reviewing AI-generated output for accuracy and security. This is a massive shift in mindset. We are moving from "doing" to "directing." Full episode drops tomorrow here: https://lnkd.in/gqK8MvEg Question for the devs out there: Does this excite you or terrify you? Let’s discuss in the comments. 👇

What if your SOC could operate at machine speed, without losing human judgment? AI is reshaping security operations. Routine investigation, context gathering, and response can now happen in seconds, not minutes. This is the shift from alert triage to threat engineering. But AI alone isn’t the answer. The future is an agentic SOC, where AI-powered workflows handle the heavy lifting, and analysts focus on decisions, validation, and response. Think of it as an Iron Man suit for your SOC. Elastic provides the speed, scale, and visibility to stop threats before they spread. If you're rethinking how your SOC needs to evolve, this is worth your time. https://go.es.io/40UI3I3

At NVIDIA GTC 2026, we showed how enterprise AI is accelerating, powered by the performance, scale, and partnerships needed to bring it into production. Here’s what we brought to GTC this past week: • GPU-accelerated vector search with NVIDIA cuVS, delivering up to 12x faster indexing and 7x faster force merging • A vector database powered by Elastic, embedded within the Dell AI Data Platform and accelerated by NVIDIA cuVS • GPU-accelerated vector search now available on Red Hat AI, enabling scalable RAG across Kubernetes and hybrid environments • Not to mention, demos, discussions, and more Faster indexing. Flexible deployment. Production-ready AI. More to come.

OpenTelemetry adoption is growing quickly across the industry. Operating it at scale is the next challenge. As teams move into production, they often run into collector sprawl. Hundreds of collectors, configuration drift, and limited visibility into what is running and healthy. Elastic Agent helps close that gap. Built on Elastic’s OpenTelemetry Collector distribution and managed with Fleet, it gives teams a single place to configure, update, and monitor collectors across their environment. Learn how it works and what it means in practice ↓ https://go.es.io/4lQdNaY

Protect every endpoint without the endpoint tax. Elastic Security XDR unifies endpoint, cloud, identity, and network data in one agentic security operations platform, with SIEM, XDR, and automation included. What does that mean? Faster investigations, fewer pivots between tools, and no “endpoint tax” forcing visibility trade-offs. The protection is proven: Elastic delivered 100% protection in the AV-Comparatives 2025 Business Security Tests. Here’s how Elastic Security XDR can transform your security strategy to be driven by risk, not license limits: https://go.es.io/4bFGC5d If you’re at RSAC this week, stop by booth N-5678 to see in action live.
