What emotional moments today, as I was able to get together with colleagues in Saint-Ouen for a farewell gathering today. Tomorrow, I have the privilege of handing over the leadership of Alstom to Martin Sion as he steps into the role of CEO. With this transition, a new chapter begins for the company - and for me. During my fantastic 30‑year journey at Alstom, I have enjoyed coming to work every single day and was truly honored to lead the company over the past 10 years. Alstom is second to none. Because of the unique role it plays in shaping the future of mobility. From designing and maintaining trains to integrating complete railway systems, Alstom turns a clear purpose into practical solutions that help cities and regions move more people, more efficiently and with a lower environmental footprint. Its global reach, local roots and long‑term partnerships make a real difference for communities around the world. Because of the unique passion, energy and commitment of #TeamAlstom across our sites, engineering centres and customer teams worldwide. You have shown, day after day, what can be achieved when expertise, passion and purpose come together. I will keep vivid memories of moments spent in the field, on factory floors, during townhalls and alongside customers and partners who share our ambition. To all colleagues, customers, suppliers and stakeholders: thank you for your trust, your dedication and your candor. Every exchange has enriched me and reinforced my belief in the power of our collective work. As I leave my role, I do so with pride in what we have built together and strong confidence in the ability of #TeamAlstom to continue its successful development and fulfill its mission for a more sustainable world. When we think of trains, we think of speed, comfort and availability. But we don't often wonder whether they’re easy to maintain. Although this consideration is secondary for passengers, it is crucial for operators: a train that’s easy to maintain represents considerable savings in terms of total cost of ownership! Some of our trains are already fully designed for optimised maintainability, such as the #Aventra fleets in the UK.

What if the real cost of a train isn’t its price? For commuter rail, value isn’t defined at the point of purchase. It’s best measured over decades of operation. That’s where a total cost of ownership (TCO) approach becomes a strategic lever, helping rail operators turn lifecycle thinking into tangible economic, environmental and operational benefits. At Alstom, we apply TCO thinking to continuously enhance our #Adessia commuter trains because better design today means lower costs tomorrow. Discover how TCO is reshaping commuter rail procurement and creating lasting value for public transport systems and the communities they serve. 🔗 Read the full story: https://ow.ly/4QUf50YAJkj #CommuterRail #TotalCostOwnership #SustainableTransport

Let’s ask ourselves a simple question: How can trains become seriously more energy‑efficient? For our engineers, the answer is clear: you don’t just tweak one part, you rethink the entire traction system. That’s why our #Mitrac traction solutions use a modular design with high‑efficiency components working together through intelligent system control. What does it change? ✅Less energy used ✅Fewer CO2 emissions ✅Lower costs for operators and cleaner rides for passengers And when we combine silicon carbide converters with permanent magnet motors, energy savings can reach up to 30%.
