Hi all,

I'm planning to change lower arm for Satria Neo to originals or as close to it. Sadly, original parts have discontinued for quite a while and those selling NOS jacked prices up insanely high. Im also skeptical of those selling it for under market value and claiming it to be original.

My option now is to go 3rd party.

So far survey2 market, I narrow to 2 brands: Schmaco and JEB(Jebco). Is it true that I hear JEB makes lower arms for Proton once upon a time? Or I might be wrong too.

Any info is helpful, thanks guys!

From what i knew jeb just aftermarket oem parts and nothing to do with proton genuine parts

Just personal preference. When I was searching (year 2020) for lower arms (all 4; fronts and rears) and suspension mounts for my wira (yeah out of production just like yours)., came across Lokco and Jeb (Jebco back then).

When browsing shopii and lajada, I purposely asked sellers the weight of the front pair. Schmaco ones have lower weight than Lokco and Jeb. For such a low tech and old design, I don't think they (spare part manufacturers) changed anything on design, maybe just difference in material used to manufacture. J and L brand was around 7kg but S was less than that (assuming all things equal). Since the outgoing arms were ori P1 parts, they have same weight as L and J brands.

Fast forward to 2026, the L brand is still in service and the handling is still tight. However age is catching up.

Last year, decided to get Jeb full set of engine mountings and still very satisfied with its performance after slightly more than a year. It is the only engine mount other than ori Japan Mitsubishi (2008-2015) that don't sag after a year. Other brands (including ori P1) sag within a year, especially the timing belt side.

Just last week, I started browsing for lower arms again. Seems like L brand no longer have lower arms anymore for wira or maybe dealers don't want to stock them. So I am planning to use J brand since its engine mountings performance seems to be very good and have complate range (lower arms, dog bones, suspension mounts, arb links etc.)

So I would of the impression that (anecdotally) J and L stuff would potentially be better? Just
