🤔 How many times have you updated your onboarding experience for Microsoft 365 Copilot license holders? We just updated ours yesterday at Telia… again. This round includes: 🎥 An updated recording introducing Copilot and its capabilities 💬 An intro to prompting and how to think when interacting with AI ⚙️ A flow of app-specific intros and demos (Business Chat to PowerPoint, Excel, and beyond) 😮‍💨 Keeping pace with the rapid evolution of these tools feels impossible at times. 💎 That’s why I’ve stopped trying to make it polished and perfect. It’s a waste of time! 🛑 No studio lights, no flashy e-learning modules… mostly just simple Teams recordings, giving just enough context, then straight into demo. 🙅🏻But onboarding alone of course isn’t enough to build adoption 💉 We’ve started to infuse Copilot into other stuff we do, like linking to it as an extension of our presentations and comms, and adding ready-to-use example prompts that can be copied and pasted by anyone directly into real work situations. 🏋🏽‍♀️ We’re also running function-specific Promptathons, where teams co-create Copilot use cases and build reusable prompt libraries. 🚀… and a lot of other things.. and it’s once again the collaboration with both internal- as well as external people that makes this come to life! 🌪️ The key to keeping up with the pace of change isn’t control… it’s the enablement of co-creation in vertical communities. 💡 So, my key tips for adoption… Keep it real. Keep it practical. Romerikes Blad a local newspaper in Norway saw a clear warning sign last Year: they had more subscribers over 80 than under 40. Sounds familiar, right? We in Kilkaya hear “how to reach young readers” at almost every media event. What RB did is a concrete example of how to make that work in everyday newsroom life. On Nona (Norwegian Online News Association) this Tuesday, Mads Yngve Storvik and Anne-Sophie Amalie Rex Dorgelo shared how they approached it. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮: 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲. RB chose to focus the newsroom on readers under 40. Together with us in Kilkaya, they set up dashboards that showed only data from that group. Everything else was filtered out. Meaning - They almost dropped 90% of overall traffic. One of the biggest changes came on the homepage desk. The editors who choose and present the front page managed to change their habits — often the hardest place to shift direction. When the numbers on the screen reflected young readers only, decisions on story selection, headlines, and visuals followed the same focus. In a short period, subscriptions among under-40s grew by more than 50 percent, while older readers stayed. For us, this stands as a strong learning on how to set a goal, build it into the tools, and make it stick in the newsroom. Or as we like to work: Align, Adapt, Achieve 🖖

This morning I joined the GVIP, Global Vulnerability Intelligence Platform, community call. It is a new initiative aiming to improve vulnerability management and intelligence. In simpler terms: missing data. The discussion was lively led by Olle E Johansson. I highlighted two recurring problems we face in embedded systems: - patched software. Once you patch upstream code locally (or apply patches from someone else), current naming schemes and vulnerability databases fail to describe what you are actually running - package configuration. Whether your product is affected by a vulnerability often depends on build time (or run time) configuration options. That information is rarely captured in a usable way Another topic that generated strong discussion was KEV, Known Exploited Vulnerabilities, catalogues and how they should be integrated into workflows. I am looking forward to more discussions, and even more to concrete work starting on these subjects. More embedded voices in this space would be very welcome! Wild how much more can be achieved with AI in such a short time when you have direct access to technical people from all the stakeholders.

Robust communication beyond cellular… For more than 30 years, I have relied on SATEL Oy radios in ultra-critical communication scenarios.
