ICEYE has secured a €28.3 million continuation grant from Business Finland, Finland's public innovation agency — the final tranche of a major R&D investment to advance sovereign intelligence from space. The grant will accelerate major advances in ICEYE's technology portfolio, focusing on enhancing ICEYE's sensing capabilities, data collection, and AI-driven analysis. ICEYE is scaling at an unprecedented pace to meet growing demand. Since 2018, the company has successfully launched over 70 satellites and recently reached a production rate of one satellite per week, with an annual production target of 100 satellites by 2028. Pekka Laurila, Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at ICEYE, said: “Business Finland’s continued support reflects ICEYE’s strong execution and the progress achieved under the R&D program. Together, we are strengthening Finnish expertise, scaling domestic R&D, and accelerating technologies that enhance national resilience, situational awareness and sovereign capabilities.” Read more: https://hubs.li/Q04jw9zc0

About us
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth. ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system. ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future. Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1,000 employees across Poland, Spain, Germany, the UK, Australia, Japan, the UAE, Greece, and the US. ICEYE and GISPartner are partnering to bring near real-time satellite intelligence to infrastructure operators across Poland. Through GISPartner's iMapCLOUD platform, energy, water, transport, and utilities teams can now monitor risk and make faster decisions, regardless of weather conditions or time of day. The joint partnership will focus on strengthening digital water management and flood resilience. Read more: https://hubs.li/Q04h_XrR0 #PolskaInfrastruktura #ObserwacjaZiemi #ZarzadzanieRyzykiem

Effective vessel traffic intelligence over wide-area maritime chokepoints demands both spatial coverage and resolution. ICEYE's Scan and Spot Fine SAR image pair over the Malacca Strait demonstrates exactly that. → Scan captures a 100 km × 100 km scene delivering full traffic density across one of the world's busiest shipping lanes → Spot Fine captures a 5 km x 5 km scene with the resolution needed for individual vessel classification Two modes. One coherent intelligence picture.

One design principle for Europe's EO architecture: build it incrementally, one capability at a time. Poland: contract signed May 2025, sovereign system handed over May 2026. Twelve months, end-to-end. This is what incremental architecture makes possible: field the first capability fast, validate it under operational conditions, then scale. More European nations are following the same pattern.

During military exercises like NATO Cold Response 2026 and ORION 2026, tactical operators tasked SAR satellites, received processed imagery, and had classified targets on screen at a forward position. The full loop runs in minutes. The ISR Cell also serves as a redundant operations node. If the primary ground segment is disrupted, tactical operators maintain the ability to task and exploit the constellation independently. Used by tactical operators during live exercises. https://hubs.li/Q04hP9nl0

Four years after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Europe is still watching its own security through someone else's eyes. The brief interruption of intelligence flows from Washington to Kyiv in 2025 was a reminder that even the closest alliances operate within political cycles. Europe has world-class space companies and expertise. What it lacks is speed. ICEYE recently delivered a sovereign space intelligence system to Poland in under 12 months. It proves what is already possible in Europe, at scale. Constellation Europe, a concept for a federated network of 1,000+ European-owned satellites, is achievable this decade. After floods, wildfires, and hurricanes, utilities and transportation agencies face a race against time. Roads are blocked, aircraft grounded, and field reports delayed. That’s where SAR satellite data changes the game. https://hubs.li/Q04hsX9d0 Join ICEYE experts Mark Antonik and Gretchen M. Chiques as well as Karen McCarthy APM, the Executive Director of Enterprise Security, Crisis and Emergency Management at Transport for NSW to see how ICEYE’s satellite constellation cuts through clouds, smoke, rain, and darkness to deliver near real-time disaster impact data within hours and help operators identify affected areas, assess infrastructure damage, prioritize response, and act faster when it matters most. Watch the Utility Dive webinar on demand, any time to see how utility and transportation operators are putting this to work: • How to map flood and disaster impacts without waiting for field access • How satellite-derived impact and damage assessment data integrate into existing GIS workflows • How Transport for NSW used ICEYE Flood Insights following Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred #DisasterResponse #UtilityManagement #SmartGrid
