We are proud to announce the launch of C-Trend® EEG Station in Europe! Continuous EEG is increasingly recommended in clinical guidelines for critically ill patients, including those after cardiac arrest, especially to detect seizures and support neurological outcome assessment. Yet in many hospitals, EEG monitoring remains difficult to access due to limited specialist availability and complex workflows. C-Trend EEG Station is designed to change that. By combining AI-powered EEG analysis, an easy-to-apply single-use electrode, and a complete bedside workstation, C-Trend EEG Station enables ICU teams to start monitoring brain activity quickly, even when EEG specialists are not immediately available. The system helps clinicians observe brain function trends, detect patterns such as seizures or burst suppression, and support faster diagnosis and treatment decisions directly at the bedside. Jukka Kortelainen, MD, PhD, CEO and Co-founder of Cerenion: "Our goal has always been to make EEG monitoring accessible for every ICU team caring for critically ill patients. With C-Trend EEG Station now available in Europe, we are taking an important step toward bringing practical, AI-supported brain monitoring to the bedside, helping clinicians gain visibility into brain function when it matters most." The launch is a significant milestone for us. Our vision is that unveiling the secrets of the brain will enable better care for critically ill patients. If you are interested in distribution partnerships, clinical collaboration, or bringing C-Trend to your hospital, we would love to connect. 👉 Learn more about C-Trend EEG Station and how it can support brain monitoring in acute care. I’m pleased to share our newly published article, “Accuracy of EEG Slow Wave Activity in Predicting Favorable Outcome in Patients with Hypoxic Brain Injury — A Protocol for a Substudy of the STEPCARE Trial”, now available in Acta Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica. 👉 https://lnkd.in/dumKzrxH The publication presents the protocol for the ongoing international substudy PROPEA STEPCARE of the STEPCARE trial evaluating how EEG slow wave activity (SWA) can be used in the prognostication of cardiac arrest survivors. Early and accurate evaluation of brain function after cardiac arrest is one of the major challenges in critical care. Reliable and practical tools are urgently needed to guide clinical decisions, support communication with families, and ensure that every patient with potential for recovery receives optimal care. From the very beginning, Cerenion Oy’s mission has been to bring practical, reliable, and easy-to-use EEG-based tools to intensive care units enabling clinicians to better understand brain function when it matters most. Our C-Trend solution is a direct result of this vision: an AI-driven approach for objective and straightforward interpretation of EEG activity, designed to make early brain monitoring accessible even in hospitals without constant availability of specialized neurophysiology expertise. This substudy marks another important step toward validating that approach in real-world critical care. My sincere thanks to all collaborators involved in this project for their dedication to advancing neurocritical care. #CTREND #EEG #Neuroprognostication #CardiacArrest #STEPCARE #CriticalCare #BrainMonitoring #ClinicalResearch #ICU #intensivecare
