    Eurobearings 𝐱 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐨 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬, 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 Traditional casting for oversized components takes months. The lead times are punishing, and the subtractive material waste is massive. Scrapping a massive industrial component just because the surface is worn is highly inefficient. It consumes vast amounts of raw material, halts production lines and breaks the energy productions for several weeks. To overcome this obstacles and being able to meet the demands of global OEMs in the marine, cement, defence and energy sectors, Meltio has worked with Eurobearings to develop a robotic metal 3D printing cell mounted on a mobile gantry. This unique configuration, a KUKA robot arm plus Meltio Engine Integration kit, grants Eurobearings' engineering team the exact kinematic flexibility required to manufacture highly specialized oversized sliding bearings.
