Partnering to build a greener future for the arts. Today, Getty, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), MOCA | The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, Hammer Museum, and Hauser & Wirth announced a commitment to implement the Bizot Green Protocol, a set of recommendations for more sustainable collections care. This includes experimenting with wider climate-control parameters for temperature and relative humidity, changing criteria for outgoing loans when safe, and incorporating measures to reduce air travel and exhibition waste. Overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea in Palermo’s historic Kalsa quarter, this landmark site has borne witness to the rich pageant of Sicilian history. Acquired by the gallery in early 2026, the Palazzo will undergo thoughtful conservation to restore its architectural integrity to create a new cultural destination that is open to all and honors its legacy.
