Pickmybrain.com, a Tallinn-based startup building AI-powered Digital Brains for celebrities, experts, and public figures, has raised a €1.8 million pre-Seed round to grow its team, enter new markets, and enhance the product. 🇪🇪 🧠 🤖 The funding was secured from a group of business angels, such as Garri Zmudze (a longevity and BioTech investor and early investor in Insilico Medicine), as well as Raison, and non-public investors. Sergei Verbitski, founder of Pickmybrain, “While AI is often framed as a threat to jobs, it’s also creating new ways for professionals to share and monetise their expertise. There’s an emerging layer of personalisation: AI models built around a specific human’s knowledge, not just broad internet data. Just like Patreon helped creators monetise content, we are enabling professionals to monetise their expertise without becoming full-time content producers or mentors. Looking ahead, these Digital Brains will evolve into AI assistants that enhance workflows, maintain context over time, and act as persistent team members.” https://lnkd.in/g2_BKRtx

Audicin, a Finnish NeuroTech startup using brainwave entrainment and music neuroscience for real-time focus, productivity, stress recovery and sleep, today announced €1.6 million in funding. 🇫🇮 🎧 😴 The round includes private investment, follow-on participation from ŌURA ring co-founder Petteri Lahtela and Virpi Tuomivaara, and support from Business Finland’s selective Deep Tech Accelerator. “The nervous system doesn’t switch on only when something goes wrong. It’s working all day, adapting to cognitive load, decisions, and stress signals. Audicin is designed to run in the background of real life, helping regulate that load in the moment, not just after the fact. This financing lets us scale into the environments where regulation is hardest to maintain, including phone-restricted settings, and bring this capability into the platforms people already rely on,” said Laura Avonius, CEO of Audicin. Alice & Bob, a Paris and Boston-based quantum computing company, has been awarded €3,404,446 from the U.S. DOE’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) Quantum Computing. 🇫🇷 🧲 ⚛️ This funding will support the development of fault-tolerant quantum algorithms focused on discovering rare-earth-free permanent magnetism, a crucial component in electric motors and turbines. “Designing high-performance magnets without rare earth elements is one of the hardest problems in material science, as these materials are extremely difficult to simulate with classical computers. A hybrid approach – where classical methods compute environmental parameters and quantum computers simulate highly correlated electronic systems more accurately – could significantly accelerate the discovery of new magnetic materials,” said Juliette Peyronnet, U.S General Manager at Alice & Bob. Metafuels, a Zurich-based AviationTech startup developing proprietary sustainable fuel technologies, has secured grant funding from the Dutch government to fuel its e-SAF project in Rotterdam. 🇨🇭 ✈️ ⛽ Metafuels’ Dutch subsidiary, Metafuels Nederland B.V., has received a €1.92 million grant from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). This funding, provided through the TSE Industry Studies – Hydrogen & Green Chemistry programme (GroenvermogenNL), supports the ongoing development of its Turbe synthetic sustainable aviation fuel (e-SAF) project in the Port of Rotterdam. “Securing this support from RVO is a strong validation of both our technology and our approach to scaling e-SAF production, and the merits of the Turbe project. Rotterdam is one of Europe’s most important energy and industrial hubs, and an ideal location to deliver large-scale synthetic fuel projects. This grant enables us to accelerate Turbe towards FID and make commercial e-SAF production in Europe a reality,” said Saurabh KAPOOR, Chief Executive Officer of Metafuels. Berlin-based ecoworks, a company focusing on the cost-efficient decarbonisation of Europe’s residential building stock, received €23 million to deliver Germany’s largest cooperative serial renovation to date 🇩🇪 🏠 In the city of Hagen in Northrhein Westfalia, twelve residential buildings will undergo comprehensive energy-efficiency upgrades through serial renovation. The goal is to bring all 192 apartments up to KfW Efficiency House 55 standard (EH 55) and achieve carbon-neutral building operations on a net basis. “This flagship project involving twelve buildings demonstrates the enormous potential of serial renovation for decarbonising the existing building stock. Our extremely high degree of prefabrication makes an efficient, fast and carbon-neutral transformation of the housing sector scalable. Together with Wohnungsverein Hagen, we are once again proving that entire neighbourhoods can be energy-renovated serially in record time,” says Emanuel Heisenberg, founder and CEO, ecoworks. https://lnkd.in/eZ3eK6ip
