Trust your instincts. Often people can agree that there's a problem with something, but they may not be able to articulate exactly what needs to change, which can lead to conflicting feedback. You can usually ignore their proposed solutions (unless you hear a really great idea), just take the note that it isn't working and come up with your own solve. It's your movie, after all. If you know what isn't working (and why), then you probably have a better idea of what you need to do to fix it than others. BUT -- if it's something that some people love and some people hate? Tie goes to the runner: you created the movie, so you get to keep it the way you want it. Good luck.

This advice has changed how I respond to feedback from test screenings. I keep a massive google sheet, I simplify feedback into types - "actor feedback" | "plot feedback" and then I look at trends. I often get conflicting feedback on my films, and that is A-OK. At the end of the day, you have to make the piece YOU are looking to make. If you are producing something for a client or have a large studio breathing down your neck, the next best thing is negotiate edits without sacrificing story. Many films have been ruined by a reactionary edit, stay true to your vision.

Engage in discussions with the creative team to identify recurring themes in the feedback while avoiding the pitfalls of trying to please everyone. Prioritize changes that enhance the film's overall vision, while subtly incorporating suggestions that resonate with a wider audience.

You need qualifying questions to better understand the perspective of the opinions. You can be too close to your project and not initially see that your message is not delivering as you thought. You might have nailed it but found that some did not enjoy it the way you hoped. No matter what the feedback is, it is important to objectively understand how the audience views your project. You might not worry about some of the critiques as not everyone will like or agree with your message.
