The article was almost surely created through the use of LLMs. There is an ongoing cleanup thread dedicated to the recent edits of the author of this article on the AI cleanup Wikiproject. The user in the meanwhile has been indef blocked in the main namespace for the usage of LLMs and completely blocked some days ago for their daily evasions with TAs. I've already reverted his other edits, what is left are the articles created by him. There are multiple WP:AISIGNS: In the first version created by the author there were a lot of WP:AIFICTREF (broken external links); there are still multiple signs of WP:AILEGACY (for example revealing their close friendship and intellectual exchange or demonstrating a sophisticated understanding of geography and global economic dynamics) that are completely missing in the sources; and finally there are facts that are simply absent in the sources that should reference them, such as the fact that the geographic maps were produced together with Gastaldi or the fact that Ramusio's work influenced the works of de Bry and Purchas (both facts are actually true, but they come from this source and not from the one used in that part of the article, which is this one). According to Copyleaks it was 100% AI-made (whilst according to GPTZero it's a mix of AI- and human-generated text, but I remind that these tools are not always reliable). All in all, I think that's a pretty straightforward violation of WP:NEWLLM and that the best course of action is WP:TNT. --Friniate ✉ 14:32, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

- Delete looks to be largely an llm translation from it.wiki including the same references "retrieved" long before the page existed on en.wiki. Incidentally I have noticed that this phenomena is becoming more common - editors add a new page with a large diff which includes references which have been lifted wholesale from another language wiki. Even if they are curating the content, at very least they are not carefully verifying the references. JMWt (talk) 14:48, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

- Western Coal Field (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
Only the "Kentucky: A Guide to the Bluegrass State" book seems to define this term, and even then it dedicates only a paragraph. The PDF "Kentucky Coal Facts" drops the term "Western Coal Field" a couple times but fails to define what it is. Extensive WP:BEFORE on newspapers.com, GBooks, and archive.org found almost nothing but false positives for random coal fields in western Kentucky, without a single source clearly defining this as a verifiable region. Compare Jackson Purchase, which has multiple sources clearly defining it as a region and expanding on its history.
The first non-Wikipedia hit on Google is a page from the Kentucky Paleontological Society that does not appear to have been updated in decades, and the second is a PDF that only uses the term "Western Coal Field" in its footnotes. That the first two hits are so obscure is really telling. I found a few sources using the term "Western Coal Field", but most of them are books that are close to a century old, and outside the 1939 book already cited, none define the region.
It's possible there's some authoritative geographic source out there that I'm missing or don't have access to, but if this is to be kept, it massively needs WP:TNT or a merge/redirect to a related topic. I feel like some of the other geographical regions of Kentucky should be looked at too, as most of them are sorely lacking in sources, but one thing at a time. As for the article, note that his name is actually spelt Mahi, but the title Atikur Rahman Mahi has been salted and page creations involving that spelling have been blacklisted following heavy spamming so this is WP:GAMING to get around that protection. He is not notable per WP:NMUSIC, WP:NACTOR or WP:BASIC, and he and/or people paid by him have tried to shoehorn his biography into Wikipedia for a long time. --bonadea contributions talk 11:46, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

The article fails to meet the General Notability Guideline due to the absence of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. A detailed review of all cited references shows that none provide the level of independent, in-depth coverage required.

- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
Does not appear to meet the WP:GNG or the specific notability criteria for artists WP:ARTIST. While Geordie Lishman has produced public artworks and has a professional career, there is insufficient evidence of in-depth coverage about the individual in independent publications including major news outlets, art journals, or critical reviews. Page also read as a résumé-style listing rather than an encyclopedic summary supported by independent analysis, raising concerns under WP:PROMO. Rudshoyes (talk) 04:37, 25 March 2026 (UTC)

- Keep – I have significantly updated the article to address the concerns regarding WP:GNG and WP:ARTIST. The subject has received significant, in-depth coverage in independent, reliable secondary sources that establish notability beyond his familial ties:
- National Media & Critical Reception: The subject's installation The Rock People was the focus of a national debate on public art covered by the National Post (2013), providing the "independent analysis" requested by the nominator.
- Institutional Validation: Lishman's collaboration with the Pickering Museum Village on the Forging ON project (2024), funded by Digital Museums Canada, demonstrates high-level professional standing and institutional trust.
- Sustained Local Impact: He has been commissioned for multiple permanent municipal landmarks (Ajax, Pickering, Ontario Tech University) over a 15-year period, with coverage in INdurham and Durham Region News regarding his recent 2024/2025 commissions.
- The article has been rewritten to remove the "résumé-style" tone and now focuses on documented public impact and reception. Legendaryrob (talk) 15:28, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- Keep: I also pulled up sources 5 and 7, which are RS. The "overweight" statue issue has some coverage in other news outlets [1], which should be enough for notability. Oaktree b (talk) 15:40, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thank You I hope they keep it. Legendaryrob (talk) 05:09, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Oaktree b, Quick evaluation of 5 & 7:
- 5. Forging ON – Blacksmithing as an Art Form:
- This is a museum/educational website (Pickering Museum / Digital Museums Canada).
- It provides primary/descriptive content, e.g. noting that Geordie Lishman continues his father’s artistic legacy.
- Issue: It is not independent analysis or significant coverage, more of an exhibit-style narrative.
- 7. Robert McLaughlin Gallery tag page
- This is effectively a directory/tag aggregation page.
- It does not provide substantial editorial coverage, just listings. Rudshoyes (talk) 05:42, 28 March 2026 (UTC)

This has been at AFD twice and then DRV. The first AFD I closed as keep but during AFD2 it was revealed that the first AFD had been irretrievably tainted by sockpuppetry. The second AFD however focused on the process of opening a second AFD too soon so wasn't the right vehicle for a clean discussion. I therefore closed both discussions with a view to relisting for a clean discussion once the dust has settled. DRV endorsed this approach although my language in the second close could have been better. So after all that, here we are. This is an administrative listing so I take no position. I'm not convinced that this is worthy of a standalone article. WP:NOPAGE recommends that an article not be created on a topic if the topic would be better understood with context from related articles, and I think that everything conveyed here either can be or already is adequately covered within the articles on Roblox, Messiah (video game), Tommy Tallarico, and Hbomberguy, where the context given by those articles better aids understanding. There's just not much meat here nor any real hope for expansion, and I think the most appropriate thing to do would be to merge this article to a new subsection of Roblox#Community and culture. silviaASH (inquire within) 03:16, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

- I have no opinion on this article, but I strongly oppose making this a dedicated sub-section of the Roblox article. Roblox is a large platform with so much to cover that it should only focus on giving detailed attention to the important things. The "oof" sound, no matter how much of a meme as it may have been, is not a subject that is prevalent enough to greater Roblox history as far as a non-fancruft, encyclopedic overview should be concerned. It would not be due. The coverage of the sound effect in that section right now (a couple sentences) is more than enough. λ NegativeMP1 03:43, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
- Merge: I agree with both the nominator and @NMP1. The sound effect has coverage in reliable sources, but a standalone page makes less sense than simply a few lines of explanation in a larger article. Both NOPAGE and DUE are relevant here. This content should be merged somewhere, but not as a dedicated section. 11WB (talk) 03:57, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
- Keep the topic would not be worth a subsection in Roblox's article, it's three sentences are probably pushing it. In Hbomberguy's article, it is currently one monstrously long sentence, but I don't think there's any more encyclopedic prose to be drawn from it (he did a video on this topic, sources report he did a video, they don't say anything about its impact). In Tallarico's article, it is covered well and throughout, making it a viable merge target--except for the fact that it is an awful article for someone to land upon when looking it up; we'd literally be targeting it to somebody who has nothing to do with it. In Messiah's article, it is obviously not an important part of the game's legacy and all that can really be said is it originated their. In short, I don't think Messiah is a possible merge target (the sound comes from it... that's it), nor HBomberguy (he made a video where it was the title), Tallarico would be a confusing target (he said he had something to do with it, sources talk about someone saying he didn't), and in Roblox I don't see any context about the sound needed other than it is a video game platform. I think the best solution to not having three articles where it is relevant give a few sentence summations, is a brief summation and a link to this article. It's unlikely a reader looking at Messiah will be looking for talk of Roblox, it's unlikely that a reader of Hbomberguy will be looking for a ton of info on one video essay he did, it's unlikely a reader of Roblox should care about Tallarico or Harris or Messiah, and Tallarico is a weird target as mentioned above. 1brianm7 (talk) 04:56, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
- Keep I agree with 1brianm7's overall conclusion here: having one page rather than multiple partially overlapping summaries is better organization. I do think Messiah would actually be the least bad merge/redirect target, as that appears to be the least misleading option historically speaking, and the sound originating from there makes it part of that game's legacy, maybe even the primary reason the game is remembered today. Stepwise Continuous Dysfunction (talk) 06:13, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
- Keep. If this topic was more closely tied to one specific area, then maybe it'd make sense to merge as a subtopic. But this would be way too much detail in the main Roblox article (a quite notable topic), and isn't really a good fit for Tommy Talarico, Messiah, or Hbomberguy. It can just be a short, independent article on the nexus of all 4. SnowFire (talk) 14:38, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

The quality of sources here is subjective: while technically local, the sources are literally from The Big Apple. Furthermore, the season has just begun: the next home game is March 28, this week, when the subject will have an opportunity to start. While Transfermarkt is a notoriously unreliable source, and there are false positive hits, the subject has gotten more attention in the media lately. Bearian (talk) 18:13, 24 March 2026 (UTC)

- This subject doesn’t inherit notability just because it was acquired by a notable company, see WP:NCORP. It must be proven to be notable in its own right.
- It also doesn’t become notable just because it was popular or widespread.
- I also think that source you provided doesn’t really represent WP:SIGCOV of Frutina as it’s more about what Slush Puppie were doing with the brand. SnowyRiver28 (talk) 23:44, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
- I have had a look into sources and it is difficult as Frutina appeared to drop off after the Slush Puppie deal, as Slush Puppie became the more popular name. The 1990s and 2000s sources at the height of its popularity are not as readily available as 2010s articles we have.

- Delete - The sources provided fail to meet the requirements for significant coverage. The articles in The Namibian are indeed routine announcements of professional appointments which according to WP:ROUTINE do not establish notability. Even the interview in New Era Live while more detailed remains a primary source based on the subjects own words rather than an independent analysis of his career. Being a CEO of a regional utility is a significant professional achievement but it does not automatically translate to encyclopedic notability without sustained independent coverage. This article fails Wikipedia's notability criteria. There has not been significant coverage in reliable sources of Wendy Carlos' invented scale. The article has 5 sources, 2 of which are by Carlos. More importantly, the article is a hash of original research and clumsy prose that is not at all suitable for our target audience: the general reader. It does more harm than good to have an article this inept at Wikipedia. Trumpetrep (talk) 03:38, 24 March 2026 (UTC)

- Keep, what independent sourcing is there looks reasonably solid, especially the Milano article. On top of that, I'm finding at least a bit more coverage, such as this paper (arxiv link here), which extends the work a bit. Also here's a paper talking about composing a piece with the scale. With that said, I think a merge with beta scale and gamma scale would be appropriate, given how similar they all are, and all devised by Carlos. It's a niche topic, but there's at least some stuff out there. We cover plenty of niche topics, and if there's any improvement to the "clumsy" prose to make, that's fixable with normal editing. The claims of OR are more significant, but it would help to see more concrete examples. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 04:15, 24 March 2026 (UTC)

- Draftify I can see the argument for TNT here, but TNT also clearly states that you don't need to go through AFD to start over on an article and I think that keeping the sources which were checked by a person for reuse in a future article makes sense. The subject itself seems to meet notability requirements so fully deleting the article doesn't make sense to me. ScrubbedFalcon (talk) 09:01, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
