When we founded Flourish Ventures, we set out to build a firm that backs the best founders, period. A firm where the investment team, the boardroom, and the portfolio reflect the world we're trying to serve. 📈 We also made it our business to understand the data and influence the trends where and how we can. When it comes to funding women, the VC industry is lacking. Fintech is even further behind. In 2024, companies with at least one female founder represented just 14.7% of total fintech deal value (see Flourish research report here: https://lnkd.in/ggZMPJvP). We think that's a problem worth solving. As a Co-founder myself, I know how difficult the journey can be and how vital it is to have the right support structure. Big week for Egyptian tech on the global stage. iSchool just became the first Egyptian edtech to receive the kidSAFE Seal Program accreditation, joining a global list that includes platforms like Minecraft and Roblox. Flash achieved SOC 2 Type II, the gold standard for information security, governance, and data protection. Egyptian tech is building global-grade infrastructure.
