Installation Guide and On-Premise System Update¶
This document provides instructions for the Intel® Gaudi® AI accelerator software, firmware, and platform installation.
Hardware and Network Requirements - Get your physical system ready for loading the operating system and installing the driver and software.
Driver and Software Installation - Obtain and install driver and software packages. Use the
habanalabs-installer.sh
script to install/upgrade the packages or install each package manually.Firmware Upgrade and Platform Level Components - Provides instructions for upgrading firmware and and platform level components. It covers firmware upgrade steps, including SPI and eROM updates, as well as in-band CPLD programming methods for Gaudi 3 and HL-338 PCIe card.
Additional Installation - Follow additional installation steps according to your environment - bare metal, Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
System Verifications and Final Tests - Verify your driver and run hardware sanity checks.
Intel Gaudi Network Configuration - Set up your Gaudi network.
Note
Driver and Software Installation is not required if you are using the Intel Gaudi Base Operator for Kubernetes or OpenShift.
