Just upgraded to the current IPadOS 26.3 and continuously get spammed to finish setting up my iPad when I don’t want to add any payment information.
Same thing with the Authentication Nag, give up after the hundredth time !
( sending the Authorization to the same device is Idiotic)

Start the process of adding a card and then press Add Later. You don’t have to actually add a card, just start the process.

But what I’d like to know is when during the design phase does someone / group decide, for feature 203x , it will be a Requirement the user CANNOT opt out of to begin the Apple Pay setup process ?
Having been in the software business for all my career ( writing/supporting/ customizing)
What kind of attention for the workflow do they have, that you can Dupe the application sub component into some indeterminate state by doing half the job of filling the blanks ?
