Municipal utilities face a central challenge: How can #AI be used productively without losing control over sensitive data? The answer is provided by T-Systems International together with Deutsche Telekom through sovereign AI solutions based on the T Cloud Public. As part of a contract with Thüga Energie GmbH, around 100 municipal utilities gain access to Enterprise-GPT applications specifically developed for highly sensitive data and regulated processes. Data processing takes place exclusively within the European legal framework – in compliance with data protection regulations, audit-proof, and without knowledge leakage to the outside. This makes digital sovereignty a real foundation for the use of AI in critical infrastructure. The AI applications support municipal utilities in various ways, including: ✔️ intelligent document summaries with source references ✔️ operational documentation and work instructions ✔️ customer communication and internal documents ✔️ creation of FAQs, training materials, and comparison of offers With the T Cloud Public, T-Systems is building a European alternative to traditional hyperscalers – combined with sovereign AI infrastructure and the highest security standards.
