Location – Berlin, Germany

Rate – EUR 70-125/ hour

Type of Role – Freelance

Languages – English proficiency is a requirement (C1 minimum).

G2 are supporting a key client in recruiting a Freelance Project Manager for a large‑scale Solar PV and Hybrid Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Germany and wider European locations.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the delivery of utility‑scale Solar PV/ BESS projects from early construction through commissioning and handover.

• Coordinating civil, mechanical and electrical workstreams, ensuring alignment with design, project plans and EPC requirements.

• Managing subcontractors, ensuring safe, compliant and timely installation of all Solar PV/ BESS components and infrastructure.

• Overseeing documentation, project KPIs, risk management, stakeholder communication and on‑site decision‑making.

• Ensuring all works comply with design drawings, HSE requirements, project specifications and contractual obligations.

Requirements to be considered:

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical discipline.

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on utility‑scale Solar PV/ BESS construction projects.

• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, EPC processes, HSE standards and multi‑discipline project delivery.

• Strong communication and reporting skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

• Right to work in the EU.
