In our work to fight #rabies, we strongly believe in the importance of monitoring and measuring our impact. That is why we have been working with the GARC App (GARC - Rabies Alliance) for many years. The platform provides live information and allows us to track where vaccinations and education activities have taken place, helping us better understand what has been achieved and where further action is needed. Fighting rabies requires action from many sides — vaccination, education, surveillance, and strong community engagement. Only by working together can we move closer to ending rabies-related deaths. Join us in the fight against rabies and help create safer, healthier communities for both people and animals.
We are excited to introduce you to this month’s featured GARC Data Platform user: VSF Germany, Kenya (Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Germany/ Tierärzte ohne Grenzen). Their work in East Africa benefits the health of animals, people and their surrounding environment. These form the three pillars of their project work, because only in harmony with each other is it possible to achieve positive sustainable development. Since starting to use the GARC Data Platform, they have made the following impact: Recorded 13 541 vaccinations. Recorded 66 sterilizations. Recorded 5 096 people educated.
