Over the past few weeks, oil price shocks have once again sent turbulence across the aviation industry. And it is far from the first time. In an industry where fuel remains one of the largest cost contributors, these recurring disruptions highlight a fundamental challenge: aviation’s heavy dependence on volatile fossil fuel markets. The reality is clear: the future of aviation cannot depend on a single energy source. It must become more resilient, more adaptable, more diversified. Today, with major advancements in battery technology, electric aviation is no longer a distant future. It is becoming a practical and scalable reality today and VÆRIDION is part of this transition. Why it matters: ⚡No fuel dependence ⚡Locally sourced energy on local soil ⚡Greater energy security and sovereignty ⚡Reduced costs for operators and passengers ⚡Increased regional connectivity and economic growth ⚡A more resilient and thriving future for regional aviation Watch Otto Verhoeff, our CBO, in the video below explain what this means for Regional Air Mobility. The wheels are already turning, watch us while we build the momentum 🔋 ✈️

Building our own propulsion battery system from scratch was a founding decision at VÆRIDION. Wing-integrated, fully in-house developed, tested to meet rigorous aviation safety and certification standards, and optimized to the last gram and millimetre for maximum energy density and range. Here's where we stand today: 🔋 HVHP battery pack — achieved. ✈️ Mark I → Mark II — first-generation pack testing complete. Our second generation is moving from a lab-based design towards a true airborne battery pack that can be integrated into future flight test campaigns. ⚙️ Co-located manufacturing & testing at our EDMO facility — the foundation for faster iteration, scale-up, and future serial production of our airborne battery systems. ⏩ Next up: manufacturing and testing of our full propulsion battery lane. 📽️ Watch William O'Connor (Head of Technology) and Lukas Wollenburg (Head of Operations) break it all down.

Dear Pilot, For decades, you built more than just routes. You built relationships, businesses, and communities. You connected people in ways that changed what was possible for them. More than that, every time aviation asked for courage - new aircraft, uncharted skies, conditions that demanded skill and precision - you showed up. And each time, you moved this industry forward. You always have been an innovator. Electric aviation isn't a leap. It's the next step in a journey you've been leading all along. At VÆRIDION, that story lives close to us. Some of our engineers have sat where you sit, pilots who carried the feeling of flight and the spirit of innovation into every design decision we've ever made. So on World Pilots' Day, we asked them: why electric aviation? And what insights from the cockpit are shaping the Microliner? Their answers are in the carousel below 👇 Happy World Pilots' Day to all the pilots keeping aviation moving, and to the pilots on our team building what comes next ✈️ Ivor van Dartel, Salma Mrabet, Martin Ascher ,Erwin C. Snippets from Girls' Day at VÆRIDION ✨ Yesterday, 30 girls between the ages of 9–16 spent a hands-on day in aerospace with us at our hangar in Oberpfaffenhofen Airport. Together with different members of our team, they took part in a mix of theory and hands-on sessions - soldering, laser cutting, and small technical experiments - to get a real feeling of what it's like to work in aerospace. The best part of the day was the noticeable shift in their attitude, from quiet curiosity at the start, to growing confidence and excitement by the end. This is exactly why initiatives like Girls' Day matter. Early exposure to technical fields opens up a whole world of what's possible for young women. We're proud to have sparked that interest, and to play a small part in inspiring the next generation of female engineers. A big thank you to our team for sharing their knowledge and passion, and for doing it with so much enthusiasm. And to our 30 visitors, we hope to work alongside some of you one day ✈️ Marina Hutter, Laura Stellwag, Cristina Benéitez Ortega, Sofija Baklanenko, Johannes Hemmelrath, Lukas Wollenburg, Glenn Healy, Márcio Rodrigues, Fiachra Hogan, Kristijan Jagic, Marius Ordowski, Ralph Bednorz
