From 7 teams competing at the World Robot Olympiad 2025 (with 🏆 two 3rd-place wins), to inspiring young minds during EU CodeWeek, exploring future technologies on the official IFA Berlin School Tour, and showcasing innovation at IHK Berlin — our students and educators achieved so much together. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗹, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱: "𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗜 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗶𝘅-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀"! Starting this fall, Beijing is introducing AI education to primary school students as young as six. At this stage, China’s AI education will focus on a range of topics: from basic chatbot use to understanding AI ethics and the broader implications of AI in society. But beyond just technical skills, the initiative also fosters critical thinking and creativity, preparing students to solve real-world problems. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 ����𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵! 𝗜𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲—𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝘀, 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲. ⬇️ Even tho I don’t believe AI should be integrated into every class, nor do I think all work or homework should rely on it. However, I do believe there should be focused sessions dedicated to AI to ensure maximum understanding and practical application. China is investing in a generation that will lead technological innovation in the coming decades. It also underscores a forward-thinking mindset that’s becoming more essential than ever. Early (critical) engagement with AI allows for a fresh, open-minded approach to technology—something that’s crucial in our fast-changing world. Just a few weeks ago, a key insight from the World Economic Forum Future of Jobs Report 2025 was revealed. Based on data from over 1,000 companies, 26 industries, and 14 million workers, the report outlines the dramatic shifts coming to the job market: An estimated 59% of the global workforce will need reskilling by 2030, but not everyone will have access to that opportunity. Additionally, 39% of current skills are set to become outdated. The only way to keep up with these alarming changes in the midterm is to prepare the next generation now—and the time to act is in school. I often hear from parents who believe AI should be completely canceled, but I don’t think that’s the right approach. Of course, this comes with big challenges, such as ensuring that the next generation retains their ability to think, create, and innovate. But the time for change is now, and while it may be controversial, China’s early approach to AI education is exactly what the world needs to stay ahead in the AI-driven future.
