Women's Month at Taxfix: Give to Gain 💜 In March, we gave and gained so much more in return. All month long, we had the privilege of spotlighting some of the incredible women here at Taxfix. 💜 They took the stage, shared their stories, and challenged the room. They reminded us why this work matters. We couldn't be prouder. 🎙️ We kicked off the month the only way we know how: with an honest, unfiltered conversation that Women's Month deserves. From feedback bias to imposter syndrome, our panelists didn't hold back. Marwa Almbaed reminded us that real allyship means giving people the mic, not speaking for them. And that the burden of challenging bias should never fall on the person being boxed in. Nikita Rathi called out the feedback gap women face. Her ask was simple: validate someone's work, hire on potential, and actually listen.👂Matshidiso Matolo grounded it all in Ubuntu - the belief that mutual reliance and kindness are enough to build something meaningful. 🤝A huge thank you to our panelists and Claire Davidson for moderating such a powerful conversation. 👗 We closed out the month with our Give & Gain clothing swap. When we give, whether it's time, attention, support, or a piece of clothing, we gain new perspectives, fresh energy, and a stronger sense of belonging. The evening came to life with a curated swap of clothing, accessories, books and more. 📚 We had finger food, conversation cards to spark real connections 🃏 and a donation corner to make sure every item found a home. ❤️ Behind every moment this month was an amazing team. Yesterday was International Women's Day. A day to celebrate. But also a day to face some truths. 💜 Here's one: The gender pay gap in Germany still stands at about 16%. That means women effectively worked for free until March, while men started earning on January 1st. But the real cost goes far beyond the paycheck. Our recent study with 2,035 participants reveals what financial inequality actually means for women's lives: 📊 39% of women have not made a major life decision – like leaving a relationship, changing jobs, or moving – because they lacked financial security. That's up 5 percentage points year over year. 📊 Women experience severe financial stress nearly twice as often as men (28% vs. 16%). 📊 Only 38% of women feel financially independent, compared to 48% of men. And the gap is growing. These are not just statistics. Behind every number is a woman who stayed in a situation she wanted to leave. Financial independence is not a luxury. It is self-determination. At Taxfix, we believe that taking control of your finances starts with small, concrete steps. Filing your tax return can be one of them: reclaiming money that is rightfully yours. We've helped reclaim over €4.5 billion in tax refunds so far. We left our everyday world behind and stepped straight into a magical forest at Sage Beach. ✨ Our summer party theme came alive with sparkling lights, lush greenery and whimsical details at every turn. 🪄🍄 From pointy elf ears to fairy wings and shimmering glitter, our fantasy favourites walked among us. Colleagues transformed into woodland creatures, fairies, and more .🧚🏽♀️ 🧝🏽 Having everyone from across our offices together in Berlin made it truly special – a moment of joy to connect, meet new faces, and celebrate as one team. 💚 It was amazing to see everyone embrace the magic.✨ Thank you to all of our wonderful team members who dressed up. Employee engagement and enthusiasm like this is what makes our workplace truly special.
