How long it stays. How fast it moves. When it disappears. Which means you’re also responsible for whether people can actually read it. And this is where most edits fail. Not because the animation looks bad. Because the timing feels wrong. The words arrive too quickly. The transitions cut too early. The viewer is still reading line one while line two is already flying in. Looks stylish. But nobody remembers what was said. Motion design is not just visual rhythm. It’s reading rhythm. A good text animation feels invisible. You don’t notice the movement. You just absorb the message naturally. That takes restraint. Sometimes the best animation decision is holding a frame half a second longer. Sometimes it means removing movement completely. And font choice matters more than people think.
