  • If you had to pick one automation initiative for 2026, what would it be and why? Across industries, the conversations we have about automation solutions are maturing. And priorities still differ by region: US: reshoring, AI/software, AMRs - with a strong focus on speed and scale EU: retrofits, platforms, digital twins and virtual commissioning - built for integration and continuity We're curious! What are you optimizing for in 2026: speed, flexibility, labor relief, quality, energy efficiency… or risk reduction? And what’s the hardest part right now: proving ROI, integrating with legacy systems, internal buy-in, or scaling beyond pilots? Say hi at Automate Show 2026 and let's talk #automation: 📍 Chicago (USA) 👥 SCIO Automation and its member CEC Controls 📅 June 22–25, Booth 19023, North Hall ⬇️Or drop your initiative in the comments. #AutomationTrends #DigitalTransformation #Production

  • It’s 6:17 a.m. in your warehouse. A missed scan at inbound. One picker calls in sick and you were already short‑staffed. Pallets start queuing up, AMRs slow down, and the cut‑off time? Still frozen. In 2026, the real question isn’t: “How fast is your warehouse when everything runs perfectly?” It’s: “How well does it recover when reality hits?” So we focus on automation, that is not about adding more machines. It is more about orchestrating work in an environment that can changes every hour. We are curious: What’s the #1 “exception” that silently eats your performance today? Write in the comments below or talk to us in person 👇 — 📍 AUTOMATE 2026, Chicago (USA) 👥 SCIO Automation and its member CEC Controls 📅 June 22–25, Booth 19023, North Hall 🔍 Enabling the future of intelligent factories – with tailored automation solutions that strengthen competitiveness, improve flow, and accelerate end to end throughput. #intralogisticsautomation #supplychain #warehouse #AUTOMATE

  • A year or two ago, the big question was: “Can AI detect defects?” Today it’s more practical (and more uncomfortable): “Can we trust vision results enough to run production on them?” Because in manufacturing, inspection isn’t a lab exercise. It’s exposed to real-world variability, from surface changes from suppliers or processes to dust, speed, and the constant pressure to keep throughput high. These realities are exactly why we at SCIO focus on error-free processes for production. With #VisionTechnologies that don’t stop at detection, but are built for maximum testing reliability in real environments: ▪️AI-supported image processing and deep learning, even for complex applications ▪️Stationary and robot-guided camera systems ▪️Integrated hardware and software, including algorithms and automated reporting ▪️ERP and database connectivity to turn inspection data into actionable process insight ▪️Validated software processes for high quality requirements If you’re attending Automate Show, let’s talk vision technologies and what 99.9% inspection reliability really means in your production. #IndustrialAI #Quality #Automation #Manufacturing

How can AI be used effectively in Mechanical Engineering❓ Together with the Niederrheinische IHK Duisburg-Wesel-Kleve and the ZaKI.D - Zentrum für angewandte Künstliche Intelligenz Duisburg we spent an entire afternoon at our Duisburg site discussing real‑world #AI use cases in #mechanicalengineering. After two expert presentations, the group moved straight into open discussion: Where do processes get stuck? Where is acceptance still missing? Where do proof requirements and reproducibility become the bottleneck? One sentence summed up how people feel perfectly: „Artificial intelligence isn't always intelligent, but it's already indispensible.“ (Niklas Kurtenbach, Director of Business Development & TechnologySCIO Automation) If your company is currently exploring how AI can support uptime, quality, or engineering efficiency let us talk. 👉 What is the biggest challenge you face when integrating new digital tools into your #production environment? WE MADE A BIG MISTAKE… A sentence we hear often. Most automation incidents start with “we thought.” Manufacturers thought the line was running and everyone was happy. Then reality kicks in. Someone clears a jam, switches a mode, bypasses a step “just this once.” Suddenly the interface becomes the risk. “We thought” quietly turns into “we made a mistake.” Because a production line running is not the same as a line being safe. Safety rarely fails because a machine breaks. It fails in everyday situations no one really questions anymore, where people, systems and processes meet under real operational pressure. With our Safety Services, we focus exactly on these moments. As a reliable technology partner, our goal is to create a foundation for your work that stays productive and safe in your daily operations. When your systems, people and processes work together in a way that actually reflects reality, automation becomes more ✔️reliable, ✔️more efficient, ✔️and far more stable in the long run. DCs and manufacturing sites are dealing with a familiar mix: tight labor markets, high turnover, rising wage pressure, and e-commerce peaks that don’t wait for staffing plans. Inside the building, AMRs have become a practical answer: flexible, scalable, and increasingly fast to justify (ROI discussions often land in the 12–24 month range). But the stretch outside is still a blind spot that creates daily friction. Exactly where safety, predictability, and throughput get tested. That’s why our autonomous outdoor tugger train is showing up more in serious automation roadmaps: ▪️predictable milk‑runs between buildings, even when demand spikes ▪️fewer manual touches in mixed yard traffic ▪️transport that can be orchestrated with WMS/MES The interesting shift in the U.S. market we see is, that it’s less about “adding robots” and more about stabilizing end‑to‑end flow. Explore how outdoor AMRs fit into your modern warehouse automation at Automate Show 2026. More details in the comments ⬇️ #AMR #WarehouseAutomation #intralogistics #memberofscio 4am Robotics

  • Where does material usually get stuck in your #cleanroom? Many teams tell us the same story: “Carriers pile up. Operators step in. The line slows down.” Not because the process is wrong, but because the buffer isn’t supporting it. That’s why companies use our #memberofscio SCI GmbH Linear Stocker. What customers value most: ✅ A scalable concept that adapts to layout, capacity needs, and process logic ✅ Animation and simulation for smooth integration into an existing fab ✅ Automated put‑away and retrieval for reliable, low‑touch workflows ✅ Use as a stand‑alone system or as an upstream buffer close to the tool ✅ Optional modules like manual ports, conveyor interfaces, and additional process steps If you’re curious where buffering could remove waiting time in your line, let’s talk: https://lnkd.in/dBsvbgpN #CleanroomAutomation #WaferHandling

  • Will everyone get home safe tonight?🤕 In manufacturing, that’s the one KPI we’ll never see on a dashboard. But the past years reminded us all how fragile health can be, especially at work. With our factories shifting so quickly, that question feels even more present today, on the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. We see how automation is growing. We see how collaboration between people and machines is becoming part of everyday life. And we also see how much trust it takes when both share the same space. 👉That’s why #machinesafety starts long before an emergency stop in our opinion. If your company is expanding #automation and wants to keep people safe as technology moves closer, we’re here to support you with safety solutions tailored to your operations. 🔍Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/d2H9qu_Y

  • 🛑The current challenge in machine control is the pace of change.🛑 Do you agree? What we see across #production environments is that it’s rarely the individual technology that creates complexity. It’s the interaction between them. Modern automation now happens at the intersection of IT and #OT, of legacy equipment and new architectures, of standardization and flexibility. And that’s where the real everyday questions show up: 👉How do you modernize existing machines without risking uptime? 👉How much control logic should stay on hardware — and when does a software or virtualized approach make more sense? 👉How do you build secure, scalable structures while keeping production fast and adaptable? #Machinecontrol is moving from isolated systems toward connected, resilient and security‑driven architectures. And that’s exactly what we at SCIO focus on. Increase your plant performance with our solutions for controls technologies - whether you need a new system, a retrofit, or a plant relocation.
