At the end of 2025, Rheinmetall subsidiary Rheinmetall Mobile Systeme GmbH signed a contract with the Danish procurement authority for five Role 2 field hospitals. The contract value is in the mid double-digit million euro range and was booked in the fourth quarter of 2025. Delivery of all systems is scheduled to take place within two years. The field hospitals are divided into three Role 2B (Basic) hospitals and two Role 2E (Enhanced) hospitals. The Role 2B is fully containerized and operates as a mobile unit mounted on trucks. This ensures rapid deployment and expedited operation. The Role 2B delivery also includes a tent-based Forward Module, which can either complement the Basic system or be used independently. The Role 2B trauma system offers full diagnostic and surgical capabilities. After stabilization near battlefield regions, patients are transferred to rearward-facing units. The Role 2E has double the operating room and intensive care capacity and additional capabilities such as a computed tomography (CT) scanner, laboratory and pharmacy containers as well as a dental treatment unit. The containers are field-proven and specifically designed to withstand military environmental conditions and the rigors of transport. In collaboration with the Danish customer, the medical equipment was selected to be ideally already in use by the Danish Medical Service. Both the Basic and Enhanced systems are fully self-sufficient in the field for a specified period and are delivered with their own power, water, and oxygen supplies. Military sanitary facilities complete the field hospital's equipment package. "We are delighted to have been awarded this contract by a major NATO partner. Live at the corporate headquarters in Düsseldorf Together with Borussia Düsseldorf, Paralympic champion Sandra Mikolaschek and other guests impressively demonstrated the dynamism, precision, and passion involved in para table tennis. Our employees had the opportunity to try their hand at table tennis themselves – and gain valuable insights into the everyday lives of para-athletes through personal exchanges. Digital at other locations At the same time, online lectures on topics such as invisible disabilities, neurodiversity, and diversity of perspectives in everyday working life met with great interest. Our junior staff also took a clear stand for fairness, respect, and openness – as seen in their own video contribution. With the support of the international #PositivelyPurple campaign – featuring purple banners on LinkedIn and illuminated corporate headquarters – the commitment was also visible to the outside world. Seeing, hearing, and valuing people – and creating conditions in which everyone can contribute their strengths. That's what matters. Als langjähriger Partner der Streit- und Sicherheitskräfte blickt Rheinmetall auf eine erfolgreiche Enforce Tac zurück, bei der wir zukunftsweisende Lösungen aus den Bereichen Vehicle Systems, Weapon and Ammunition sowie Digital Systems präsentieren durften. Lately, Rheinmetall Italy officially concluded its Innovators Team Training 2025 program. But for the participating Italian and Swiss colleagues, this marked really just the beginning. Over four months, habits, languages and established models have been questioned in order to explore new technologies, new business models and new ways of working. In doing so, participants left their comfort zone, worked in English, switched between face-to-face teaching and continuous exchange between Rome and Zurich, and embraced complexity as a natural part of innovation. Under the strong guidance, vision and great ability to stimulate critical thinking of Professor Dr Axel Uhl, Rheinmetall's ‘innovators’ have gone through all the important phases of digital transformation: from digital business models to the transformation of services and prototyping to commercialization and the preparation of solid, credible and ambitious executive presentations. The most impressive moment? When the teams presented to the management, now. The two teams of innovators from Italy and Switzerland presented not simple theoretical exercises to the management, but concrete, structured, bold ideas that elicited enthusiasm, questions and – not to be taken for granted – sincere admiration. This journey has made one thing very clear: innovation does not come from perfect slides, but from people who work together across borders, who can think outside the box and who have the courage to propose new approaches.
