Info

Well done!!!! Great to see the Cyber Valley AI Incubator was again a success!
AI Incubator Batch #7, Week (6/6): Demo Day The Demo Day was a fantastic conclusion to Batch #7 of the Cyber Valley AI Incubator! We're incredibly proud of the eight teams who pitched their AI solutions to over 100 people, including investors, entrepreneurs, and researchers. 🌟 AI Research Scientist Katja Schwarz (SpAItial AI) from Batch #1 of the AI Incubator gave an inspiring keynote, sharing her start-up experience. 🎉 Congratulations to the winning teams: GovernLens AI, SOMNYFit, and GRASP LAB. 🙏 Thanks to the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung for funding the program, the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems for co-organizing, and coaches Michael Raschke, Olga Mordvinova, and Ralf Allrutz. Further thanks to our judges: Daisylea de Souza Paiva (ZEISS Group), Monika Michalska (STARTUP AUTOBAHN powered by Plug and Play), James Pearson (imec.istart), and Dr. Benedikt Battke (GRAZIA EQUITY). 📸 Photos: Alejandro Posada About the Cyber Valley AI Incubator: The Cyber Valley AI Incubator empowers scientists and entrepreneurs with ingenious AI ideas to begin their entrepreneurial journey. Over six weeks, participants receive hands‑on training, mentoring, and access to leading experts, founders, and investors. Each session explores a specific topic – such as team building, market analysis, prototyping, business models and pitching – ensuring that participants leave with insights and a growing network in the AI ecosystem. By supporting the program, we’re committed to strengthening start‑up culture, uniting our community, and fostering AI innovation. #TheAIIncubator #AI #AIStartup #Startup #Innovation #Entrepreneurship #Bettertogether Paul-David Bittner | Angelina Jukic | Patrick Duffner | Dr. Sebastian Theiss Lanz

🎉 👏 🥳 Congratulations Maria-Paola Forte for successfully defending your Ph.D. thesis! "During my Ph.D., I developed an interdisciplinary approach that brings together computer vision, linguistics, and novel sensor technologies to enable large-scale sign language capture—a key step toward data-driven, high-quality 3D signing avatars. The sensor technology I created also contributes more broadly to solving the challenge of self-contact reconstruction in human pose estimation. Looking ahead, I aim to turn my research into real-world products with meaningful societal impact." Paola adds: "My time at MPI-IS has been defined by exceptional resources and a deeply supportive community, which allowed me to tackle challenging, interdisciplinary questions with the freedom to explore and take risks."
