Three days of ideas, conversations and fresh perspectives on the future of sustainable and healthy buildings. ♻️ We’re happy to contribute and participate in GBCI Europe Circle 2026 last week in Milan, which brought together professionals from across the building industry to discuss how we can accelerate the green building movement. Our team joined important conversations around “forging resilience” and how energy efficient buildings can play a role in strengthening Europe’s energy security and addressing climate-related risks. These discussions also reinforce the importance of investing in sustainable and low-carbon materials from the design phase to create more future-proof buildings. The local Italian Knauf gypsum colleagues did an amazing work managing our outstanding booth, that was the perfect place to exchange with our customers and stakeholders about our Knauf Systems low carbon performance. Our very own jean-pierre pigeolet, Global LCA & EPD Manager at Knauf was part of a live stage panel: “Green Building Materials Jeopardy!”. This session explored how sustainable building materials can contribute to LEED v5 and support more credible, measurable approaches to net-zero strategies. As our Sustainable Market Manager in Knauf Insulation, Francesco Cavicchioli, shared: “GBCI Circle Europe is an important opportunity to exchange ideas on how to make sustainability in the built environment more concrete and measurable. For us at Knauf Insulation, participating at GBCI Circle Europe means sharing perspectives, learning from others and strengthening collaboration across the whole value chain, because real progress depends on working together.” A big thank you also to the organisers, partners and customers who made these discussions so valuable. It was a pleasure to connect and exchange ideas, and we left Milan with fresh insights, renewed energy and a shared commitment to keep shaping buildings that are better for people and the planet. 🌍 #GBCI2026 #BuildOnUs

75% of Europe’s building stock is still energy inefficient. That’s not just statistics; it’s the scale of the challenge our industry needs to address. 📣 At the same time, expectations are shifting. Sustainable construction is no longer about ambition or reporting alone. It’s about measurable performance across the full building lifecycle. At the GBCI Europe Circle 2026 in Milan, we are engaging in exactly these discussions - together with partners across the value chain. Our focus is clear: ➡️ turning sustainability requirements into practical, scalable solutions ➡️ improving building performance - in new buildings and, even more importantly, in existing buildings ➡️ enabling circular approaches and better use of materials Together with colleagues from across our business units, we will share perspectives on how materials, systems and data come together to make this work in practice. More to come from Milan. See you there?! 😉 #GBCIEuropeCircle #GreenBuilding #BuildOnUs
