Almost every IDS camera needs a lens and IDS has a wide range of options. Using the IDS lens finder helps to find a few candidate optics or in other cases the perfect lens does not exist. 📹 Learn more about our lens portfolio and how to select the perfect lens for your application. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/du6VW24s

First time at LogiMAT: Machine vision meets intralogistics From 24 to 26 March, we joined the European Machine Vision Association - EMVA Member Booth at Europe's largest annual intralogistics trade show in Stuttgart. Three days, an international crowd, and one recurring theme: intralogistics still runs largely on manual processes. And the appetite for automation is real. We showed what machine vision can contribute: the Nion, our first fully self-developed 3D ToF camera, handles volume measurement and depalletising reliably, even in direct daylight. The uEye Live series enables visual process monitoring via live streaming, without complex integration. Event-based and AI-equipped cameras cover applications where speed or ease of deployment matter most. A big thank-you to EMVA, our fellow exhibitors and everyone who stepped by! We're already looking ahead. #IDShasVision #LogiMAT2026 #Intralogistics

Sony Starvis 2 sensors come to uEye CP cameras: Sharp images even in low light Low light is one of the toughest challenges in machine vision. High sensitivity across the visible and NIR spectrum, low noise, and a wide dynamic range: that's what Sony Starvis 2 sensors bring to our uEye CP. The uEye CP fits these sensors into a 29 x 29 x 29 mm magnesium housing which is robust enough for robot arms and production lines and compact enough for space-constrained setups. The 10 new USB3 models cover five resolutions: IMX662 (2 MP), IMX664 (4 MP), IMX675 (5 MP), IMX678 (8 MP) and IMX676 (12.5 MP). 10 teams, 2 days, and robots learning to see. 🤖 We joined the Robotics Hackathon at IPAI in Heilbronn last week with industrial cameras and computer vision know-how. The challenges, set by AUDI AG, FANUC Europe and SCHUNK - Hand in hand for tomorrow: controlling robots through natural language, from adaptive factory layouts to delicate assembly tasks. Our role was to provide the eyes. Our cameras delivered the visual data teams needed to turn language commands into precise robotic action. Together with Intel and STACKIT, we supported the over 50 participants in bridging AI algorithms and real-world robotics. What the teams demonstrated in two days: AI-driven human-robot interaction works when the vision foundation is right. Fast to integrate, robust across environments, reliable under real-world conditions. Thanks to IPAI and all partners for two productive days of applied AI 🤝 #IDShasVision #Robotics #ComputerVision Photos: IPAI and Sigrid Rögner

Inside industrial sites, speeding goes undetected – until something happens. On logistics yards, airport perimeters, and industrial parks, an automated system now monitors vehicle speeds, captures licence plates, and flags repeat offenders without additional staff. Developed by UK safety specialist Westcotec Limited, the Automatic Speed Watch Camera (ASWC) delivers structured data that operators can use for targeted measures: traffic calming, structural adjustments, or internal training. At its core: an IDS uEye LE camera. Its e2v sensor delivers light sensitivity at CCD quality and switches between global and rolling shutter modes without interrupting operation. Sharp plates at speed, reliable performance from daylight to dusk. UK police forces and private site operators already use the ASWC. The outcome: lower average speeds, better compliance, fewer incidents. What the system captures beyond the licence plate ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dN_JZtNd #IDShasVision #MachineVision

The uEye FA performs under pressure. Literally. Since February, IP69K protection is standard on the uEye FA. Upgraded from IP65/67, at no extra cost. That means you get an industrial camera with resistance to high-pressure, high-temperature cleaning jets, dust, and temperatures from -20 °C to +55 °C. The sealed housing with screw-lock M12 connectors protects every connection. It keeps the uEye FA running where most cameras tap out. Pleas note: No rubber ducks were harmed during our pressure tests. 🦆 Find out more about the uEye FA models ➡️ https://lnkd.in/duzcpbeb #IDShasVision #MachineVision #FactoryAutomation
