We're hiring. Extantia is adding an Analyst or Associate to our Berlin investment team. You'll work at the intersection of science, capital, and storytelling - sourcing and evaluating early-stage companies, running due diligence on breakthrough technologies, and building the investment cases that go to our investment committee. Most importantly you’ll get to work with incredible founders who are building the future. The ideal background below - though we urge you to apply even if you do not meet all of the criteria. ⚙️ STEM degree - chemistry, materials, energy systems, physics, or similar 🔬 Intellectual curiosity across unfamiliar technical domains 🤖 Hands-on experience with agentic tools and LLM workflows 🏭 A view on technology opportunities that will shape the future of European industry Prior VC experience is a plus, not a prerequisite. We care more about how you think than how long you've been thinking. This is a full-time role, shaped at Analyst or Associate level depending on your experience. 👉 Apply by 30 June 2026: https://bit.ly/4dRvGCM #Hiring #ClimateTech #VentureCapital cc: Yair Reem, Sebastian Heitmann, Joern-Carlos Kuntze, Torben Schreiter, Oliver Schwarzer, Carlota Ochoa Neven Du Mont, Paul Eisenberg, Nina Litman-Roventa, Christian Guba, Tess Dury, Paola Brenni, Fernanda Bartels, Moritz Kötter, Jan Olsson, Jaisal S. Good food and good company. Last week, we hosted our Extantia AGM at Maschinenraum in Berlin and the word that kept coming up wasn't just a metric or a milestone. It was connection. We brought together LPs, founders, and our team to do what no deck can fully capture: being in the room. Sharing a meal. Speaking frankly about where we are and where we're heading. What came through when we came together? 🔍 The portfolio is showing real signal - serious scale and clear winners emerging fast 🌍 The macro is uncertain, but the structural case for what we back has never been more solid ⚙️ A sharp strategy - building better, faster, cheaper, and greener, with conviction A genuine thank you to our special guest speaker James Gutman, to our incredible portfolio founders who joined us, to Maschinenraum for hosting us and to WALTSMEDIA for capturing it all. This AGM reminded us why we invest the way we do, in people and technologies built for the long haul. Collaboration isn't a nice-to-have. It's how breakthroughs actually happen. 🌍 cc: Yair Reem, Sebastian Heitmann Joern-Carlos Kuntze, Torben Schreiter, Oliver Schwarzer, Carlota Ochoa Neven Du Mont, Paul Eisenberg, Nina Litman-Roventa, Christian Guba, Tess Dury, Paola Brenni, Fernanda Bartels, Moritz Kötter, Jan Olsson, Jaisal S. Looking forward to seeing the Voltrac Thor on our home turf next month! 🚜
The future of European Resiliency will not be built country by country. It will be built by teams that move, build across borders, and refuse to wait for national programs to catch up. Thor started in Berlin. It was built in Valencia. Now it is coming back to Tegel, and we are bringing our partners with us. If you believe Europe needs real cross-border solutions, not just cross-border PowerPoints, come join Tom Hubregtsen, Dominik Faißt, Andreas Klinger, Jacob von Manteuffel, myself and many others!

Europe has been considered dead when it comes to computing. Data platforms, cloud, AI - the EU leads nowhere and the gap is gigantic. In this vacuum, quantum might be our best shot at redemption. Emile Durand and Paola Brenni have spent the last few months studying the quantum ecosystem and speaking with founders, investors, and experts. Here are a few reasons to be excited: 🧠 Europe has arguably the highest concentration of quantum talent — with leading labs (ETH Zürich , University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, Technical University of Munich, Université Paris-Saclay, Delft University of Technology, Universität Innsbruck, Aalto University) consistently producing serious spin-outs. 🧩 No one has cracked fault tolerance — not even Google , IBM, or Quantinuum. They’re ahead, but uncertainty remains, and Europe is showing up with credible champions across every hardware modality: Alice & Bob (superconducting), ZuriQ (trapped ion), Quandela (photonics), Pasqal (neutral atom), Equal1 (silicon spin). 🏛️ Political will is finally there. Quantum is now central to Europe’s tech sovereignty ambitions, with €11B invested over the past five years, and more to come. The race is still open, and as the Financial Times notes (👉https://bit.ly/3QgmW0J), the real test is who can scale a workable machine by the end of this decade. If you’re building in quantum computing in Europe, we’d love to hear from you. #QuantumComputing #DeepTech #Innovation #FutureOfComputing Qubit Pharmaceuticals Kipu Groove Quantum planqc C12 Peak Quantum eleQtron GmbH

Europe won’t win by copying, it will win by leading. 🇪🇺 In this Tagesspiegel Background article, “Yes EU Can,” Extantia Partner Yair Reem highlights that Europe’s strength lies not in scaling existing industries, but in driving the next wave of innovation. With world-class research, engineering talent, and deep tech expertise, Europe is well positioned to lead in fields like climate tech and advanced manufacturing, if it focuses on specialisation over imitation. What matters now is turning that research edge into real companies and industries, faster and more deliberately than before. It’s less about catching up, and more about deciding where Europe wants to lead. 🚀 Read the full article (in German): https://bit.ly/4shx4nr #DeepTech #EnergyTransition #Innovation
