  • We have completed another milestone project for Tankbouw Rootselaar, involving the transport of two CO₂ storage tanks from Nijkerk, Netherlands to Esbjerg, Denmark. The operation began with load-out of the tanks onto barges in Nijkerk, followed by inland waterway transport to Amsterdam. There, the tanks were discharged onto the quay and loaded onto a coaster vessel for onward transport to Esbjerg the following morning. Upon arrival in Esbjerg, we carried out the discharge operations and ensured the safe positioning of the tanks at their final location within the port area. The tanks form part of the new CO₂ terminal currently under construction in Esbjerg for the Greensand Future project. They represent tank numbers 3 and 4 out of a total of six. Tanks 1 and 2 were successfully delivered in October last year, while tanks 5 and 6 are expected to follow later this year. #ProjectCargo #HeavyLift #Greensand #TogetherWeCreateSolutions

  • After nearly four decades with Blue Water, Ronald Hansen today steps into retirement. For 38 years, Ronald has been a familiar face at our office in Odense - known to colleagues, customers and partners alike for his approach to work and relationships. Today, colleagues past and present, customers and family came together to celebrate a remarkable career. In his own words, Ronald summed up what has guided him throughout the years. "I've always aimed to treat customers and colleagues the same way I want to be treated: keeping my word, being respectful and humble and always aiming to be a decent human being. Because I believe that when relations become trust, then trust becomes the beginning of business." Looking ahead, Ronald is ready for a new chapter. "I look forward to spending more time with my friends, my family and my grandchildren - being the grandfather who says 'yes' when their parents say 'no'. And I'd be surprised if I didn't also spend more time on the golf course." If you would like to read more about Ronald's career, you can find the full story here: https://lnkd.in/et2Q7_q8

  • What does it take to execute large-scale logistics in Arctic conditions? For the Qaqortoq Airport project in South Greenland, operations were shaped as much by the environment as by the scope itself. With no berth access for large vessels, ships remained anchored offshore while cargo was transferred via barges. This setup involved tight control of lifting operations, sequencing and continuous coordination between vessel, barges and onshore teams, with Royal Arctic Line A/S and 60° North Greenland ApS as key partners. Weather added another layer of complexity. Limited weather windows, changing sea conditions and low temperatures meant planning had to remain flexible and continuously adjusted to maintain safe operations and avoid delays. At the same time, the remote location meant every shipment was carefully planned in advance. There was little room for error, and all equipment, materials and resources had to arrive in the right sequence to keep construction progressing. Executing under these conditions goes beyond transport. It brings together marine operations, local logistics and project requirements into one coordinated setup. Today, we are proud to mark 2 years with no LTI among our own personnel in Esbjerg. At the terminal, the milestone was celebrated together with our colleagues, where our CEO Thomas Bek addressed the team and thanked everyone for their dedication to keeping safety at the centre of our operations every single day. In Port Services, Dare2Care is part of the way we work. Building and maintaining a strong safety culture takes commitment and teamwork across every operation. “Our shared goal is clear: every colleague should return home safely every day. That requires us to look out for one another, speak up when needed and always put safety first in everything we do.” - Søren Messmann, Head of Operations and HSSEQ, Port Service Division Over the past two years, our own operational personnel in Esbjerg have completed 259,000 working hours across terminal, multiterminal and stevedoring operations. During that time, the teams have handled more than 20,000 components and 40,000 containers, while servicing 1,900 vessels with stevedoring and 1,300 vessels with agency services. A huge thank you to everyone in Esbjerg for your commitment and dedication. This achievement belongs to all of you. #TogetherWeCreateSolutions #Dare2Care #SafetyFirst #PortServices

  • US importers who previously paid IEEPA duties may now be eligible for refunds through CBP’s new CAPE process. However, refunds are not automatic. Importers need to identify affected entries, review supporting documentation and submit formal requests through the ACE Portal. Our customs and compliance specialists support customers in assessing potential refund opportunities and navigating the CAPE submission process. Read more about what this means for importers here: https://lnkd.in/erebEk3p

  • Today, we are celebrating our valued colleagues marking 25 years with Blue Water by welcoming them to our headquarters in Esbjerg. At Blue Water, we believe that trust is built through long-lasting relationships. With our people as our most important asset, we value the commitment it takes to stay with one company for more than a quarter of a century. Our jubilarians have spent the day reconnecting with where our story began in 1972 - touring the Esbjerg harbour, visiting Blåvand Fyr, from which our name originates, and of course gathering for an informal reception with all HQ colleagues and a celebratory dinner. Mireia Mulet, who joined Blue Water back in 2000 and today works as a Forwarding Agent within Import Sea at our Barcelona office, reflects on her journey with Blue Water: "I've grown up with Blue Water. During these years, I found my husband and became a mother. I believe I've stayed with Blue Water because I've been given the opportunity to develop: as an employee, as a person and as a woman. I feel part of a big, global family. During my time here, I've seen our Barcelona office grow from a small, local set-up into a fully integrated part of a truly global company. Many people have come and gone, and with the experience I've gained, I'm proud to pass on my knowledge to a new and ambitious generation, while continuing to be part of Blue Water's growth." Congratulations and thank you to all our esteemed jubilarians for your dedication and loyalty. #OneBlueWater

100 tonnes of steel — cut, welded, and fabricated by Guyanese hands — shipped across the world to China, where it will be integrated into the FPSO Essequibo 1899 being constructed for the Hammerhead project, with an initial production capacity of 150,000 barrels of oil per day.   This is more than a shipment of handrails. It represents local expertise, craftsmanship, and pride from Guyana, delivered onto the global stage.   For Blue Water, our role was clear: ensure every piece arrived exactly where it needed to be, exactly when it was needed. 56 heavy-duty pallets. End-to-end execution from Georgetown to BOMESC’s Tianjin yard in China.   Together with MODEC, we are proud to support a supply chain that not only delivers critical infrastructure but also creates jobs, develops skills, and strengthens communities in Guyana. Thank you to MODEC Offshore Production Systems (Singapore) / Offshore Frontier Solutions and ExxonMobil Guyana for the strong collaboration.   #BlueWaterShipping #FPSOHammerhead #ExxonMobil #Guyana #GlobalLogistics Rafael Fumis Dilys Tan
