What truly brings our new Audi RS 5 to life? Performance figures? Absolutely. Cutting-edge technology? Of course. But none of this matters without the people behind it. The engine development team in Neckarsulm is responsible for designing the V6 engine, while Audi Hungaria in Győr handles continuous engineering and manufacturing. Together, engineers, project leads, and specialists exchange ideas and solve challenges together, pushing each other forward. They meet, hand over responsibility, and challenge perspectives. Made in Germany, shaped in the wind tunnel. The new Audi A2 e-tron is our brand’s all-electric entry model and will be manufactured in our German site in Ingolstadt. Ahead of its debut in fall 2026, our engineers are constantly refining even the smallest details. One key example is the wind tunnel in Technical Development, where the camouflaged A2 e-tron takes form. Its distinctive roofline is more than a design statement – it plays a crucial role in aerodynamic efficiency.   “In the wind tunnel, even the smallest change can make a measurable difference,” says Robby Pyttel, Aerodynamics Engineer at Audi. The challenge lies in balancing aerodynamics, acoustic comfort, and thermal performance without compromising everyday usability. With wind speeds of up to 300 km/h and ultra‑precise measurements on a five‑belt rolling‑road system simulating moving ground, airflow, noise and thermal stability are pushed to the limit – turning data into tangible progress.
