From shareholder activism to geopolitical risk, today’s directors are being asked to balance strategic oversight with evolving stakeholder expectations.   During a recent visit to Tokyo by APCO’s North America President, Kelly Williamson, and Global Chair of Corporate Advisory, Pamela Passman, APCO convened a private luncheon with THE BOARD—an inspiring network of women serving on corporate boards. The discussion brought together an exceptional group of directors and leaders for a candid exchange on the forces shaping boardroom decision-making today.   Key themes included the growing link between M&A and governance, the importance of “always-on” financial storytelling, and how boards can proactively navigate geopolitical complexity while strengthening long-term value creation.
