$\begingroup$ FWIW the research (rather perversely) showed a pattern of computerized notes resulting in better self-rating of understanding, but worse outcomes on simple recall tests. So it is possible that you are falling victim to an illusion here. Also, FWIW I also usually personally take notes on a computer because it's so darned convenient. So, I am just as much a hypocrite as the next guy :) $\endgroup$
