April 2026 saw the U.S. conduct one of the most complex search and rescue missions in history. Individuals from across the services and government worked together to rescue an F-15E WSO/back-seater in Iran.
From our dedicated professional airmen and many more to the hard-earned lessons from decades of operations including the Vietnam War, the current people, training, equipment, as well as Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) have evolved into an amazing capability. So we'll take a look behind the scenes at the coordination process and how all of these amazing assets employ to achieve the 'impossible'.
