How did March sneak in so quickly?! The first quarter will be completed soon - how is your year progressing?

We had a whirlwind month in February with our work at two back-to-back Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) conferences in San Diego and Dallas. Special thanks to Kim Newell, MBA VP Meeting & Sales, who has made it possible for us to review LinkedIn Profiles with the attendees of 15 MBA Annual conferences since 2019! We continue to meet the most interesting and accomplished mortgage industry professionals! Thank you to the many clients who stopped by to reconnect in person! Our onsite quick LinkedIn reviews are a great value-add to standard conferences.

The initial distribution of this newsletter is on March 8, International Women's Day - a time to celebrate all the special ones in your life, and we hope you remembered to 'Spring Forward' with Daylight Saving Time last night! On the 14th, it's Pi Day, for all you math wizards, and not too long after, we'll celebrate St. Patrick's Day and March Madness on the 17th.

Special mention: On March 26, UpLift Live, the UK's original conference on LinkedIn best practices, will take place in Birmingham. This annual event started in 2024 and is organised by John Espirian, Jeremy Freeman, and Gus Bhandal. You can attend in person or watch online via a livestream. Details here. TIP 1 - JOB SEEKERS & CAREER BUILDERS

I highly regard fellow LinkedIn advocate and trainer, Kevin D. Turner, as one of the best authorities on the platform. This article suggests paying more attention to edits that can strengthen your visibility and credibility. LinkedIn's Discoverability Signal

TIP 2 - ENGAGE, ENGAGE, ENGAGE

One of the most important things you can do, and in a very short time, is engage with the Home Page feed. Tapping a Reaction AND commenting when you can add value (with more than 8 words to please the algorithm) can attract attention to you in a good way. And start reading the thread of Comments all the way through - you'll be surprised at the opportunities for additional engagement

TIP 3 - HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH ZOOM

Stumped for a different method for posting? Many members stick with what's familiar and easy: text with an attached image, a quick video taken on their phone, reposting, sharing company posts, or conducting a poll. Those are all good methods. Have you tried creating a video on Zoom by yourself? It may seem strange, but members love all video content, and you might be pleasantly surprised by the engagement. Stay tuned!
