We are delighted to announce that Tencent's flagship indie awards program is back for 2025. A free, international awards competition for new and in-development games, run by the Tencent Institute of Games. 2024 was our most successful (and competitive) year yet, with 575 international teams taking part. For 2025, we've expanded our offerings to help us reach more teams than ever. So, what's new for 2025? Our biggest change is the addition of cash prizes (Gold, Silver, Bronze plus 4 Category Prizes) to our Student Awards Channel. Our industry awards channel is still there, aimed at #indiegames, but now we're encouraging students to take part too by adding a separate channel just for them. As always, finalists obtain free entry to our promotional events, including our tie-in Steam events. Teams should have fewer than 25 core members, and the game should not have been on sale prior to Jan 1st 2025. Submissions are open until July 15th, and winners will be announced in November.
