  • China Mobile Chairman Yang Jie announced the company will focus on "four key directions" to build a comprehensive "AI Full-Stack Service" covering computing power, tools, models, and applications: First, intensifying efforts to build converged computing-network infrastructure. This includes constructing ultra-large-scale "computing power factories" to significantly expand 10,000-card and 1,000-card AI computing centers; establishing a three-dimensional "network hub" layout to accelerate the commercial deployment of 6G features; and creating an AI-driven "computing-network brain" powered by the "Jiutian" computing-network large model to achieve precise computing power allocation. Second, intensifying efforts to develop self-service tool platforms. This involves forging high-efficiency model development capabilities to provide end-to-end development support; cultivating high-performance computing power adaptation capabilities by refining key technologies like 10,000-card parallel computing; and building high-quality data supply capabilities by aggregating multimodal general and industry-specific data. Third, intensifying efforts to provide one-stop model services. This includes accelerating the convergence of diverse models to enhance the "Jiutian self-developed + industry-leading" model portfolio; speeding up the accumulation of cross-domain capabilities by developing AI general capabilities like language interaction; and expediting the creation of multi-scenario intelligent agents by building libraries for applications like smart customer service. Fourth, intensifying efforts to develop native product applications. This encompasses expanding the "AI+ product" matrix to accelerate deployment of the "new trio" in information consumption; innovating "AI+DICT" integrated solutions to build "autonomous driving"-level industry solutions; and establishing "AI+ digital government" benchmarks by upgrading the "AI+" city brain platform. Yang Jie released the "Cloud Intelligence Computing Technology White Paper" and proposed three initiatives: jointly tackling core technologies, jointly cultivating inclusive applications, and jointly building a global ecosystem.

  • Yang Jie Explains the "Three Effects" Model, Revealing New Trends in Cloud-Intelligent Computing Development At the conference, China Mobile Chairman Yang Jie provided an in-depth analysis of the "Three Effects" driving transformative changes in computing-network infrastructure. Frist, the "Scale Effect" of AI Continues to Intensify. With sustained investments in high-performance algorithms, advanced computing power, and quality datasets, AI capabilities will achieve exponential growth at an annual rate of ~10x improvement overall. Concurrently, AI deployment costs will decrease by ~10x annually. By 2030, AI-related tasks are projected to dominate 64% of total network traffic. Second, the "Rebound Effect" of Computing Power Accelerates. Over the next three years, China's intelligent computing capacity is expected to grow 2.5-fold with a CAGR(Compound Annual Growth Rate) of nearly 40%. Demand for inference computing power will surpass that of training computing power, with inference computing's CAGR reaching 4x that of training computing over the next three years. By 2028, inference computing capacity will exceed training computing capacity. Third, the "Acceleration Effect" of Connectivity Expands. This drives three emerging pillars of information consumption: AI agents will outnumber the human population; Intelligent Connected Vehicles (ICVs) will comprise over 80% of new car sales by 2030; 80% of humans will interact daily with intelligent robots, while robot populations will eventually surpass humanity. The synergistic interplay of these “Three Effects” will trigger structural and transformative changes in computing-network infrastructure, cementing "From Cloud to Intelligence" as the irreversible technological trend.

  • China Mobile Chairman Yang Jie Introduces the "Computing Power Network" Vision to Build a New Ecosystem At the 2025 China Mobile Cloud AI Conference, China Mobile Chairman Yang Jie delivered a keynote speech titled "From Cloud to Intelligence: Co-creating a New Ecosystem of Computing Power Networks", in which he introduced the innovative concept of the "Computing Power Network." As a central enterprise in the cybersecurity and information sector, China Mobile is focusing on the construction of computing power network infrastructure as a key area to drive technological and industrial innovation. First, deepen the diversified deployment of computing power to achieve a marked enhancement in integrated supply capabilities. China Mobile has optimized the "4+N+31+X" computing power network layout, with over 1 million computing power servers deployed. The company has established 13 national and regional intelligent computing centers, with a total computing power exceeding 43 EFLOPS. Additionally, 21 intelligent computing centers, 3 national supercomputing centers, and 3 quantum computing centers have been integrated into the network, enabling the dispatch of computing resources that account for one-sixth of the national total. Second, advance the computing-network convergence to substantially elevate the precision of supply-demand alignment. China Mobile has pioneered the completion of direct 400G high-bandwidth, ultra-high-speed connections at the nation’s eight major hubs. The computing network brain has been deployed at four hub- and regional-level computing power nodes in areas such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and the Yangtze River Delta. The company has also launched China’s first national hub computing power scheduling platform with an unified 'Four-Computing Integration' framework at the "Yangtze River Delta Wuhu Cluster." Third, accelerate AI integration across all domains to fully unlock the innovation potential of computing-network convergence. China Mobile has built an AI-driven Computing-Network Convergence Scheduling Platform, integrating over 250,000 network links. The company has launched the "Lingxi" intelligent agent, upgraded 24 products with more than 190 millions customers.
