We advised four Chinese technology companies - Guangdong Huayan Robotics (SEHK: 1021), Jiangsu New Vision Automotive Electronics (SEHK: 2632), Nsing Technologies (SEHK: 2701), and Zhejiang Galaxis Technology Group (SEHK: 2729) - on international sanctions, export controls, tariffs, and U.S. outbound investment regulations in connection with their H-share listings on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. These transactions span the robotics, automotive electronics, and semiconductor sectors, where regulatory complexity continues to evolve. Across each transaction, our team provided strategic advice on compliance with the U.S. Outbound Investment Security Program, evolving sanctions regimes, export control frameworks, and tariff considerations. We’re expanding our US finance and restructuring offering with the appointment of a four-partner team in New York, ahead of our proposed combination with Perkins Coie. Jeris Brunette, Mark Dendinger, Rebecca Keep and William Ebert bring deep experience in debt finance and restructuring, advising on a range of complex financial transactions across a variety of sectors. The arrival of this quartet of partners aligns with our strategic goals, and reinforces our sector focus across Financial Services, Technology and Energy. The top-tier team will establish a dedicated US restructuring offering and further strengthen our existing finance practice. On the appointments Mark Edwards, our Head of Global Loans said, "At a time when global markets are experiencing unprecedented volatility, scaling our support for US finance clients with integrated, specialised experience across the debt finance and bankruptcy spectrum, will be game-changing for us.” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eznthHVe

As our proposed combination with Perkins Coie continues to take shape, Paul Jenkins and Bill Malley discuss the opportunity ahead, following conversations in Berlin with our partners at the Ashurst Partners Conference.
Our proposed combination with Perkins Coie continues to take shape as we work towards forming Ashurst Perkins Coie. Earlier this month, Bill Malley and I sat down during the Ashurst Partners Conference in Berlin to discuss what this combination could mean – not just strategically, but for our people and our clients. It was the first time a large group of our partners had been together in one room, and the sense of alignment was clear. What stood out most for me was our shared ambition and mindset: complementary strengths, a commitment to innovation, and a focus on supporting clients in the industries shaping the global economy. Watch our conversation as we share our vision for the firm.
