The project is carried out in coordination with SERVIU, reaffirming the commitment to delivering high-standard housing solutions for families. Stamped structural lumber allows for optimized construction timelines, reduced waste, and improved final quality. Together with industrialization and prefabrication, it stands out as a key advantage in delivering housing projects quickly and to high standards. In a forestry country like Chile, advancing toward industrialized timber solutions is not only a technical decision, but also a strategic one for developing more efficient and sustainable housing over time. 🌆 Building Cities with Timber: Evolution and Challenges of Mid- and High-Rise Buildings CENAMAD presented a study analyzing the evolution of research on mid- and high-rise timber buildings, highlighting how the sector has moved from validating basic structural performance to addressing the challenges inherent in increasingly taller and more complex structures. The analysis underscores how sustainability has become a cross-cutting pillar of development, while engineering is expanding its focus toward variables such as wind, robustness, and reliability, also integrating hybrid solutions and key social factors for consolidation at the urban scale. This work reaffirms the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to fostering more sustainable, resilient, and innovative cities through timber construction.
