ST introduced the ST64UWB, the first monolithic IEEE 802.15.4ab device with narrowband assistance (NBA), enabling car manufacturers to ship far more reliable hands-free door locks. By using NBA, ST can implement the multi-millisecond mode inaugurated by the IEEE 802.15.4ab to massively increase the link budget. The first STM32WL3R Nucleo boards and devices are available to the public. We updated the STM32WL3 ecosystem to help teams leverage this sub-GHz wireless microcontroller. We even have code to show how to take advantage of its ultra-low-power capabilities. The STM32WL series features an updated S2-LP transceiver featuring additional modulation support.
