Today we open a new chapter – welcome to our new MSD Switzerland headquarters in Rösslimatt, Lucerne! Bringing together up to 850 colleagues from three locations under one roof strengthens our ability to collaborate, innovate and deliver for patients. Located close to Lake Lucerne and the railway station, the building is designed for how we work today: open spaces for collaboration, quiet zones for focused work, and inviting break areas that encourage spontaneous connections and movement. Our “One Roof” approach will accelerate cross‑functional exchange, fuel creativity and help translate scientific excellence into solutions for unmet medical needs. Built and powered with sustainability in mind, the new HQ supports our net‑zero ambition and runs on renewable energy. In der aktuellen Folge von Gesundheitspolitik im Fokus sprechen Nationalrätin und Kinderchirurgin Bettina Balmer und Nationalrat und Unternehmer Thomas de Courten mit Host Heike Scholten über einen blinden Fleck in der Tarifgestaltung: Warum zählt im Gesundheitswesen oft nur der Preis – und zu wenig die Wirkung? Wie können wir den volkswirtschaftlichen Nutzen von Leistungen (weniger Arbeitsausfälle, entlastete Angehörige, tiefere Sozialkosten) systematisch erfassen und in Tarifen abbilden? We were thrilled to represent MSD Switzerland at the University of Zurich’s UZH JobHub 2026, the largest recruitment event on the university’s campus. Our Swiss Talent Acquisition team engaged with a broad range of students from diverse backgrounds who were eager to learn about our purpose, culture, and the meaningful careers we offer. We spoke about our commitment to patients and scientific innovation, our collaborative and inclusive workplace, and the development paths available for young graduates. Colleagues from Global Data Operations, Market Access, and Medical Affairs joined us to share insights into their roles and day-to-day impact. #Vaccines show that healthcare is not only about protecting ourselves – but also about protecting one another. Community protection begins with individual decisions. When individuals are vaccinated, they reduce their own risk of disease and help limit the spread of infection within the community.
