Yesterday morning, we hosted the second session of our Enterprise AI Series breakfasts—this time diving into the transformative world of Engineering Intelligence. It was an expert-led, deeply insightful conversation that brought together founders, operators, and industry leaders who are building the future of industrial innovation. 💡 Here are a few key takeaways from the discussion: 1️⃣ Engineering Intelligence is shortening design cycles for complex physical products, enabling better products to reach production faster and at lower cost. 2️⃣ AI is poised to disrupt the entire industrial value chain, from design and simulation to maintenance and operations—opportunities are abundant. 3️⃣ Legacy meets innovation: The industrial tech ecosystem is rich with incumbents and startups. Collaboration—not competition—is emerging as the winning strategy, with large software providers increasingly open to partnering with AI-first startups. 4️⃣ A multidimensional go-to-market approach is key—reaching industrial customers requires a careful balance between top-down (executive-level) and bottom-up (user-level) approaches. 5️⃣ Data remains a bottleneck—industrial players have the volume, but the structure and cleanliness of that data pose hurdles. A collaborative, co-creative approach to solving these data challenges is critical to unlocking AI adoption at scale. It was great to be at SuperNova last week — and a real pleasure to join Seda Ambartsumian, Laura Waldenstrom and Olaf Joeressen on stage. The energy at SuperNova was a great reminder: Europe’s tech ecosystem has the talent, the ambition, and now increasingly, the capital. 🚀 A few takeaways from our panel discussion: 1️⃣ The narrative around Europe is shifting. While macro headwinds have shaped skepticism in recent years, there’s clear momentum building — both from ambitious founders and a new wave of investors focused on long-term value. 2️⃣ Europe has world-class talent, thanks to exceptional technical universities and research institutions. 3️⃣ Europe continues to push boundaries, particularly in cleantech, deep tech and specailized AI applications (e.g. for healthcare, robotics, manufacturing). Belgium’s imec is a great example — now a global leader in semiconductor R&D. 4️⃣ Europe's fragmentation makes cross-border hiring and scaling more difficult than it should be. Initiatives like the The EU Inc Petition are great steps toward a pan-European standardized legal entity — "EU Inc" — to unlock seamless hiring, investment, and innovation across the continent.
