Today on International Vasculitis Day, we stand with patients affected by #vasculitis - a group of rare autoimmune diseases characterized by inflammation of blood vessels that can lead to fibrosis and eventually organ damage. At Alentis, we are committed to advancing innovative approaches in fibrosis, including the clinical development of a novel therapeutic for ANCA-associated vasculitis (https://lnkd.in/erjPkFpV). Together with the community, we continue working toward disease-modifying treatment options. We develop breakthrough treatments for Claudin1-positive tumors and organ fibrosis
Info
Alentis Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company pioneering first-in-class antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and antibodies targeting Claudin-1 (CLDN1) for oncology and multi-organ fibrosis. CLDN1 is a previously unexploited target that plays a key role in the pathology of cancer and fibrotic disease. Alentis is the leading company pioneering CLDN1 ADCs and antibodies to modify and reverse the course of select diseases. Alentis was founded based on ground-breaking research in the laboratory of Prof. Thomas Baumert, MD at the University of Strasbourg and the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm). Alentis is headquartered at the pharma-biotech hub in Basel, Switzerland. Visit www.alentis.ch

📢 Publication alert! The review paper titled ‘Claudin proteins as emerging therapeutic targets for solid tumors’ was published in Nature Reviews Cancer: https://lnkd.in/e68AqjNU Claudins (CLDNs) are frequently overexpressed across different solid tumors and expression correlates with tumor subtype, grade and prognosis. Owing to their frequent overexpression and functional role in cancer biology, CLDNs have emerged as attractive therapeutic targets. The paper reviews the functional role of CLDN biology in solid tumours, summarize the clinical development of therapeutic approaches and discusses opportunities for biomarker-enriched patient selection. Collectively, it highlights CLDN targeting as a precision oncology approach relevant to multiple solid tumours. #AlentisTherapeutics #Claudin #CLDN1 #Oncology

In the majority of ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV) cases, the disease process can cause serious damage to the kidneys due to rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis (RPGN). We are currently enrolling a Phase 2 clinical study to evaluate whether lixudebart (ALE.F02), an investigational monoclonal antibody targeting Claudin-1, can preserve kidney function in patients with AAV-RPGN. The study is being conducted at hospitals in Germany, France, UK, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Czech Republic, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.
