BYD’s Fang Cheng Bao Ti7 EV Flash Charging Edition launched with 755 km range
On April 29, BYD‘s Fang Cheng Bao Ti7 (Overseas name: BYD Ti7) EV Flash Charging Edition officially hit the market, with two variants available starting at 199,800 yuan (29,000 USD) and 209,800 yuan (30,400 USD). The new model retains the overall design of its plug-in hybrid counterpart, with its updated features being the second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology, offering a maximum range of 755 km. This car was previously revealed in March.
Exterior design
As a pure electric variant, the Ti7 EV maintains a largely consistent appearance with the plug-in hybrid version, continuing the rugged “box” design language.
From the side profile, the new model features newly styled wheels, flared wheel arches, and conventional door handles. The Ti7 EV Flash Charging Edition is expected to be equipped with an oversized front trunk.
Dimensions
The vehicle measures 4,999 mm in length, 1,995 mm in width, and 1,865 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm. The approach and departure angles are 24 and 25 degrees, respectively. At the rear, there are dual L-shaped taillights, and the tailgate features the signature external storage compartment.
Interior and technology
The Ti7’s interior adopts the “Interstellar Ark” design language, blending “square” and “round” elements. The dual-layer floating design extends the sense of spaciousness within the cabin. Metal elements are combined with leather materials.
The vehicle is equipped with a 15.6-inch central control screen, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 26-inch W-HUD, an air conditioning knob screen, and a rear air conditioning control screen. Additionally, two 13-inch BYD Pads can be installed in the rear, achieving a seven-screen interconnected experience. For intelligent driving assistance, the model features the “God’s Eye B – Advanced Driver Assistance Laser Edition.”
Range and charging
The Ti7 EV offers a maximum pure electric range of 755 km. Equipped with the second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology, charging from 10% to 70% takes 5 minutes, while 10% to 97% takes 9 minutes. At -30°C, charging from 20% to 97% takes 3 minutes longer than at normal temperatures.
As BYD’s premium brand, Fang Cheng Bao’s sales reached a peak of 50,868 units last December. In March of this year, its sales were 25,926 units.
