“I reported to Steve for the past year at RBC working on 'deposit transactions' projects and found him to be a great guy to be around. His technical background is very strong and apparent during technical ceremonies. He tends to wear multiple hats and fills the various roles of project manager, product owner, and technical architect all into one; which was extremely beneficial for a department venturing into Agile practices for the first time. Steve is also a very conscientious individual who always goes that extra mile to take care of administrative functions for all the engineers who report to him to keep the project moving at pace. I guess you could add Scrum Master to that list. In all sincerity, I thoroughly enjoyed working with Steve. He was appreciated much more than he probably realizes and we all did fantastic work together laying out the foundations for Transactions and beyond. I for one am incredibly proud to have worked on that project and that was in no small part due to Steve affording us space and freedom to research and develop all the areas that were required to achieve our objectives. I hold him in the highest of regards due to this, he just gets it and knows what it takes to deliver high-quality deliverables with foundations for the future.
